Most of the time when the media report of an hack it is one of two things:
1)ddos attack, which is just making their server busy.
2)human engineering.
This report has both, probable was just some virus or phishing(if they were hacked at all)

Not according to reddit, many users are reporting being remotely controlled through TeamViewer which even has logs of activity.

One more reason not to save passwords when your browser offers it.
