Calling all space nerds:

I have recently rekindled my love of space. The 1.0 release of Kerbal Space Program helped fuel it as well.

What are your go-to places for space news, fun, and education?

Colobot is an awesome game about space exploration(technically extraterrestrial planet exploration/preparations, etc.), I played it some 7 years ago. There is a new version called Ceebot, that I play when I have to entertain (babysit) kids. It uses a simple programming code and you can create interesting facilities or defence mechanisms.

Celestia is a free space exploration software. It shows real-time planetary rotation within our solar system, as well as accurate distances between stars and other cosmic phenomena.

Nasa's a great site, I also find some interesting articles on IFLScience sometimes.http://www.iflscience.com/categories/space And of course, I like to keep tabs on Mars One. I wonder what other's opinions are about the Mars colonization program? I know they've come under some fire as of lately :0

Hands-down the best site I have ever come across is Icarus Interstellar.

They have some of the smartest people on the planet working for them, including Miguel Alcubierre, the guy who theorized about "Alcubierre Chutes." Star Trek's warp drive concept was based on his theory.

They also have people there working on colonization, asteroid mining, propulsion, and terraforming among other things. Bleeding edge stuff. They have competitions all the time for spaceship designs. Every year they have an event called "Starship Congress" where all the top people in the space field come and give talks. I really wanted to go last year. Want to try for the next one. Probably most of it will be beyond me (high level astrophysics and aeronautical engineering), but I still think it would be really cool.

Location
My current location is classified.
Moonbase Alpha is a hilarious game, because the chat is text-to-speak and people are spamming it with the weirdest things, including aeiou and the Soviet National Anthem. I don't know about acual serious space things.

My space-loving is being rekindled by the looming update to my favorite game, Team Fortress 2, which will involve aliens and space.
