hm... well I was in the (apparently unique) position of wanting to actually let people know when the shout club stuff is resolved. It seemed improper to go back to the shout club, but I figured if there's a place to vent, there oughta be a place to cool off too.

So I did the unthinkable and decided to add to Siberia (can you even do that? How come there are only 3 threads here?) a place to come to after the shout club for all the relaxing times/stories as well.

so I'll start it off with this... if you're ever that upset at people, go talk to an INFJ. My anger dissolved in like half an hour without a problem, and they didn't even have to do anything special. It's sweet... I'm still annoyed at specific people, but it's not spilling over into "everyone" anymore. Shout solved... or at least damage controlled.

SERENITY NOW!! SERENITY NOW!!

Ahh I feel so much better...

When I'm really upset about something I write about it. Usually to explain it to a friend over IM. By the time the friend is beginning to understand the issue, I have already calmed down... so maybe this thread can be terapeutic haha.

The problem is that sometimes the INFJ or whomever, don't understant what you are talking about... which enhances the negative feelings...

But that's not really serene is it? More uncomfortable. I'll take my stalagmites and leave others to make themselves zen.

(Do we really need a separate thread for this?)

I honestly wasn't sure whether people would use it or not... but there always seem to be one or two people viewing Siberia, so I assumed they must be reading through the Shout Club posts. So I wanted to be able to be like "ok... I've calmed down from that angry time, just so you know things don't always suck." That doesn't fit into the shout club, so I made another thread. If people view the shout club, they must care about the things people are shouting about... so I made this so this section wouldn't just make them pissed off at all the horrible things happening in people's lives.

If that's not "worth" another thread (what exactly are we losing by having it, anyway?), then fine.

My mother just told me
You need to get off the computer and get a life.
Dude! But I am not upset because of the nice calm atmosphere in this thread. Also she is right in the fact that I spend lots of time on the computer and do not have what the general public would consider a "fufilling life." But I enjoy it, and that counts the most. I have way more fun reading through the forums and other online adventures than I would have hanging out with my "friends."

I'm better now. All it took was some video gaming to calm me down.
Even though this is what this thread was made for, I put it in the shout club thread because it's better for continuity and such.

My mom is the same way, but she doesn't understand that it's relatively safe to post on forums to people you don't know. I don't need to know any of you to be safe.

I'm pretty sure my mom doesn't know what a forum is.... Hm.
You know what calms me down?
Picking at my pimples. Awful habit, I am going to be scarred from it. But it's not like I say I'm going to sit in the bathroom for half and hour and make myself look ugly! Yay! I just see one that looks really nasty, so I pop it. Then I see another one. And then because of my OCD tendencies if I picked some on this shoulder I need to pick some on the other shoulder. Ah, it's such a horrid mess. I'm all red and scabby from the last bout. Got blood on my shirt too.

masturbation is such a better way of calming yourself down (although if you're not careful, can also be a little messy)

I've been all stressed over my schoolwork this week. One of my "teammates" told me to "chill out, stop worrying". I so wanted to punch him in the face. He's just been getting drunk every night, and never going to class because he's hung over, while I do all the hideous drudgery of 3 people. My mind is in desperate need of time to defragment.

Then I got home and saw The Big Bang Theory, and lurked around the forum, and all is right. :)

But I wouldn't mind a punching bag...

I have come here to cool down, and hopefully will not loose my temper again.

I'm told if you breathe that life gets better...

Anyway!

It seems that I may be able to move out of the nightmare I'm living in... sometime in the next two-three months...

I signed a sale contract for my property.

Well... I should be serene...

I looked out over the landscape today and saw a pair of wedgetail eagles spiralling in the air currents beneath me...

I wanted to be moved and filled with grief to be leaving this incredible place behind... I so much wanted to make my home here... it is everything I personally need in my immediate environment - except internet connection - ...but in the wrong location for the people that depend on me and for ...well... for my human-impacted sanity...

...but I could feel nothing...

...yep... even my happy posts belong in the depression club...

...then I think of all the places I could go :)

...then I remember the little ones that impede... umm... need... stability or some such thing... :(

I finally have buried the most of those corpses which were taking the space of my mind. They were too heavy and were starting to stink. BUT I BURIED THEM! I feel light. I want to cry and to laught at the same time. Yes, there are few corpses left, but they are just the leftovers of rats, so small that at the current moment they do not bother me.

I just had to say this.

I'm surprised you didn't see me in there, but I guess we have to share now!

...ok, maybe not quite ;)

But oddly enough, uncomfortable places are generally comfortable for me. I'm usually the first to volunteer for the odd sleeping spots when there's limited capacity, or I'll climb up into a tree limb and sit for hours just thinking... sometimes with a twig jabbing into my side, and I'm fine with that.

I was really upset one day at my family, and I literally just started walking away from home, got about 3 fields (3-4 miles, I zig zagged a lot.) And then I laid down in a shallow indent in the ground, deep enough to hide me from sight of the road (those are extremely hard to find in south dakota!). And, I laid there for the next 8 hours... came back in extremely sunburnt, bug bitten, and it was after dark... my parents didn't really notice that I'd been gone that entire time, much less my miserable condition. But, it was really soothing out there, despite all the discomfort, broken crop stalks from being harvested poked my back where I'd been laying down and such, and I didn't move or adjust, didn't fall asleep, just... 8 hours of raw thought processing. It was pretty great :)

Those actual places though, tree limbs, mountain sides now that I live in Denver, hiding places amongst fields... those are all my merlins crystal caves, so to speak :D

I kind of went off on a massive tangent, but I felt I should say it :P

I have discovered the peace on the other side of inner turmoil. I'm sure there's more to come, but for now, I am serene.
