What are your most memorable scenes in films?

The first one that comes to mind is the ending of "Easyrider".

Beginning of "Requiem for a dream" is definitely one of them

The odd one that intrudes into my brain most often is in Bladerunner, when he confronts his soon-to-be lover about her programmed memories. There's something intimate and eerie and amazing going on there.

39 Steps, the scene on the bridge (I'm afraid of heights), and there are a handful of tasteful touches in this film, including the waiter with the tray on the train.

Das Boot is sprinkled with scenes, from the rowdy party at the beginning and when they are trapped at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.

I'm intoxicated by The Dark Knight because I saw it a few hours ago and under its control I choose the scene where Michael Caine tells about the stealer he searched many years before and how they killed him.

As if picking favourite movies from the hundreds and hundreds of good movies available isn't hard enough, now I'm supposed to pick favourite scenes when most of those good movies have a handful of great ones? There are too many scenes that stand out to name one!

...But, for the sake of the thread I'll pick a few from a movie I watched yesterday: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, one of my all-time favourite movies. The gunfight at the end and the scene where Blondie gives a cigarette to that dying soldier are two that comes to mind as stunning.

There is a scene in one of the Star Trek movies where Captain Kirk starts impertinently questioning "God," an entity they have reached with some difficulty after being hijacked by Spock's prophet-brother. It is a triumph of logic and reason over overwhelming "faith." Loved it. Thumbing your nose at God has to be the ultimate INTP rush.

War of the Worlds when Tom Cruise tells his daughter to go in the other room and kills the noisy guy.

It just raises such an important moral issue, and also shows you how people can and will choose when they have to.

I briefly worked in the corporate world (a most unfriendly place for INTP's, I wouldn't recommend it) so just about every notable scene from the movie Office Space is my favorite, but the one I like most is when Peter Gibbon's (Ron Livingstone) boss comes to his cubicle with coffee cup in hand and cute matching suspenders and tie and asks him to work the weekend.

At my husband's office we had a friend who had to move his office 3 times in one year. For his birthday we gave him a red swingline stapler as a gag gift.

The most memorable movie scene for me is the end of Into the wild when the main character dies. The director did an awesome job with it...you could hear the kids heart beat getting fainter as he spoke his last words. I just kept repeating to myself no no he can't die please don't let him die the entire time.

Second most memorable scene for me would the end of saikano when whats her name died and the world ended. That was the only movie that made me sob like a little bitch.

I have been trying to get several scenes from Monty Pythons "In Search of The Holy Grail" out of my head for several Decades now... (Not to mention a whole shipload of Mel Brooks Imagery)

I guess the scene when Igor picks up the good Dr. at the train station in Young Frankenstein... but what about the Abby Normal scene ...

Monologue at the beginning of No Country For Old Men

It's got to be The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, near the end where all three main protagonists are in the middle of a Mexican Standoff.
