I don't have any particular interest in the subject, does anyone have suggestions for topics in the sphere of asian art and/or architecture? (indian, chinese, japanese, any time period)

You want to pick a topic that is easy to research, not art that some nerd on the Internet cares about. But, as long as you are open to the latter, I think I would like to research the Japanese vs. Chinese propaganda poster art during World War 2. Not that I know anything about it. I would just find it interesting.

There's a lot to choose from. Have you done a quick internet search for different topics? You could focus on ancient tomb art or calligraphy.

An extremely stupid one . Unfortunately it was the only art history class open when I registered so...

dang, propaganda posters would have been great. I went with "Pre-modern Chinese landscapes and their meaning"

Also the main I considered using it was that it was free.
