So, I live in a dorm with around 25 other people.
The other day my roommate used some milk from the refrigerator for her cereal. She said "I'm just taking a tiny bit. They'll never notice"
But that's the thing. She doesn't know where it started out. Twenty people could have taken just a tiny bit, but now the whole thing is gone because nobody could know how it was before. And of course this tiny, insignificant interaction sent me spiraling into a scary philosophical tangent *facepalm*
Nobody can ever know what was going on right before they arrived. They can guess, but what if it was something completely unexpected. Or rather, the present is completely unexpected from before.
What if we're all walking around having missed some vital piece of information?
This really scares me.
