The two on the left are introverts, the one on the right is an extravert, the guy in the middle has a P beard. The guy on the right is probably a J due to his arm, the guy on the left might be a J, he seems wary of that cup. All three are Thinkers. Middle guy is S, and the two side people are N.

So person on left: INTJ. Middle: ISTP. Right: ENTJ

okay, from left to right, my brothers are INFP, ESTJ, and INTP (supposedly -- he was pretty much borderline everything, and he seems too douchey to be an INTP to me)

adymus -- i'm guessing the guy on the right is an ENFP/J, mainly because he's cute (and I have a thing for ENFP guys) but also because of his clothes, give me that sort of vibe...
the guy in the middle is pretty nondescript, i would say E/ISTJ
and the guy on the left... hard to say. i'm guessing IS/NTJ... yeah.

i have trouble committing to one type. sigh!

Damn it, your brother has a really Te smile for an INFP, nice job working his inferior. I guess you'd pretty much have to so you don't look like a total wuss to the rest of Ts in your family.

Your middle brother looks like he is lazy, doesn't say much, and isn't too feely about it either, that was pretty much my whole read on him.

The one on the right looks like he is pulling off Fe done by a thinker so I got the TP part right... Are you sure he is not an ISTP? I'd think if he were an INTP you would be pretty damn certain.


Very interesting answers to mine so far, I want to see what else we get before I saying anything.

i could definitely see him as an ISTP -- but to be honest, as sad as it is, i dont know him really well enough to say anything with certainty. all i know is he tested as an INTP and apparently agreed with the results, so, maybe he's only douchey to me because i'm his little sister.

...which gives me an interesting thread idea... hmm.

For the intuitive questions, there is a difference between preferring to daydream/fantasize, and actually having a tendency to see beyond what is there. Maybe a lot of testers misinterpret the intuitive portion of the personality inventory.

My bad. Forgot to edit after copy/pasting. Yeah, I'm the ENTP.
I am the youngest, but I think I also look younger than I really am. The ENTJ is only 3 years older than me (I'm 24), and the INTJ is in his mid thirties, not sure what exactly.
We are all DJs and producers, so we met in the LA club scene, mainly through other friends. As for the last two questions; yes and not necessarily but I'm sure it adds to it. Since we are all active electronic music producers then we have to common ground to share, which would have been there regardless of type. However I will say that being all NTs does strengthen the connection, considering we can talk about pretty much anything outside of music productions that we'd still find interesting...

Hmm, interesting. I guess I'll try and explain my reasoning, although it's not really strong/more gut feeling than anything.

I thought that the guy on the left was an INTP because he didn't really seem to be enjoying himself/kinda "meh" about the whole situation (screamed INT), but P because...he sort of looked like he didn't care too much (but would rather have not been in it); looking back on it, I guess INTJ fits better. The middle one...well, he seems quite expressive/is in the middle, hence the E. I had him as SJ because, like Cheese said, he seems very "average"; T was a stab in the dark (what with the T/F divide among men/women, I figured it was worth a shot).

And as for you, Adymus (you get a paragraph to yourself) - I initially thought that you would be an ENxP, because of the way you dressed and your facial expression...but your eyes and smile made it seem that you were sort of reserved/definitely not as enthusiastic as your friend in the middle (it seemed like it was reluctant or hesitant - or maybe that's just speculation and I just managed to luck into this). I then thought that although you were going along with it, it seemed like you were doing it so that the picture would be nice, and not because you wanted to be in the picture (sorry for the judgment there, but...) - which led me to think that Fi was being shown there (sadly, I excluded the possibility that you were actually happy to be in a picture! That's quite a rare occasion for me ). Those observations finally led me to the (erroneous) conclusion that you were an INFP.

Hell no. I mean, I'm pretty outgoing for an INTP and I've worked on my Fe quite a bit, but I'm a Ti dom, and there is no doubt about that.

I feel like I've met all of you before. I think I'm reacting to (perceived) type and registering that I've come across that mould before.

This is difficult, because we must not only determine what someone is doing, but what they're trying to do. Introverts, particularly IxxPs may be more likely to overdo whatever "pose" they're expected to do in a picture, because it's not really natural for them. But it also depends on the nature of the photo. If it's a picture of someone who's in their element, minding their own business (usually taken without their permission, this happens to me), you may get a vastly different look than if it's a forced socialization kind of situation.

Other factors like gender, culture, age, location, stress, sobreity, etc. can also have an effect. I was wondering what type(s) is most likely to be transparent in what vibe they give off in pictures. Probably an E, but I'm not sure about the functions.

I also think it's often less about how they look, per se, and more about certain features that remind us of stereotypes related to each type. For example, the "nerdy" look is associated with INTx. Such thinking is highly flawed of course, and phototyping has to go well beyond that kind of thinking if it's ever going to be reliable (not sure if it can be).

Eh, it's fun though.

oh damn, sorry, totally forgot about this thread.

first: my guess is ISFP, and i think it's really interesting how everyone was like, almost spot-on. i don't actually know his type, haven't made him take the test, but yeah, that's how i've typed him.
second: i think he's an ENFP; that picture was a self-portrait he took (he's an amateur photographer and also a film study... really artsy guy) so i think it's interesting that once i said to consider the circumstances, jaico went with S... yeah.
third: ENTJ. again, very close. i wonder what was different about these guys than the first ones i posted that made everyone guess so much more accurately? i think it's cause these pictures were either A) spontaneous (first and third) or B) staged, but a reflection of his artistic tendencies, whereas the first is an obviously staged "family portrait" type photo, which doesn't give much of an accurate representation of personality.

misanthropy: i really cant do anything but guess on these... the only thing that, to me, gives away anything is that the bottom two have a more dynamic expression, making me think they're both E's, whereas the top has a more.. calm expression, so probably an IxxP.

so my guess is... INFP, ENFJ, ESFP.

this is pretty funny, someone had guessed the guy on the left to be intp, and i was gonna say no "because of the way he holds his head" but i was gonna say that if any were intp it would be the guy on the right, but i wouldnt think he was.

i think pictures of people posing for the camera are much harder to type.

1. The smile he is giving looks very genuine, like it is really what he is feeling at the moment. It's not an "aimed" like you get with Fe types.
2. He totally reminds me of my ISFP friend. That face he is making, I swear I have seen it before on my friend.

If she looked scene too then she was probably more of a poser and not a part of the actual goth culture.

But yeah, INxJs have a fear of being "seen" so to speak, so they like the idea of hiding behind a persona and just playing a role.

i was surpised that you noticed i was in both pictures (i thought i looked quite different in the first than in the second).. im the guy all the way to the right in both (and i think you know im intp).

in the first picture that is my brother. i dont know why, but i am almost clueless to his type. he is very quiet sometimes, and loud in his social circle (i am too). i dont know what is going on inside his head all the time, but i think he is an I. i dont know his t or f very well.. but if i had to i would say t. he is definitely a J. so i guess lean on saying he is an ISTJ. ...
i was aware of the camera, btw, i dont know why i decided not to look at it.. i feel awkward when i do - so i pretend to not notice.

sorry, didnt mean to overwhelm you with people.. on the bottom picture you were very accurate with your Is and Es. the kid in the blue tries very hard to come across as a NT, but ihe could be an ST, he is softspoken, but very confident and closed minded about his positions/arguments. i think he is an intj.

the "creepy" guy, haha, is my best friend, he is married to the redhead.
of the girls, i am only confident that the type of the redhead is ESFJ.
i believe the girl to the right of the redhead is an NT.
i dont know much about the two guys that are wearing orange.

Yeah I gave a lot of S's, and I was really basing it on nothing in particular, I thought you could have also been INTP as well. There really wasn't a lot of signals I was getting for the type of perception they were using, so I just slapped on S's, because it is more likely a person will be a sensor rather than intuitive.
