I'm not racist, I very rarely see acts of genuine racism that aren't a product of viralised videos.

I see a disproportionately large number of people wearing combative shirts "FCK RACISM Racism this, racism that, homophobia this, and so on. I think there comes a point where socially we're inheriting the past to an extent we never quite eradicate or make the problem insignificant. I've rarely thought of people inside the context of a race or a nation because people have the same underlying themes, just different environments in which they express socialised behaviour.

If people keep drawing significance to an invisible force, then how can we truly be combating racism?
I know there'll be geographical differences (Looking at you, redneck america), but the actual concept of fighting this racism aggrevates me because it's like they're trying to socialise me into thinking of everything in the context of race (They're oppressed, you're not). Over here for example, there's a divide between nationalism and unionism (catholics and protestants), a lot of people died during "The Troubles", people still hold prejudice, parents teach their children not to go near the other community yada yada. I've went to bonfires of the opposite protestant community where they burn irish flags, burn posters of a catholic child that died from terminal cancer, police informers ("Touts"), but I can see that people just use it as an excuse to drink, they don't know the significance behind the troubles, they're getting fed 2nd hand experiences. On that note, I feel people are becoming socialised 2nd hand racism: They're the generation after racism has been WAY less significant, yet they emphasize combatting it even more.

I've even seen people as a result of the emphasis of combatting racism through anti-fa and protests that people have became radicalised by this overly emphasized belief, even defaulting on right-wing perspectives not because they were actually racist but because of the immense social pressure exerted by anti-fa groups, and their action justified under the pretense of "Peace, Love and equality".

It blows my mind that im somehow linked to people that did things to other people 200 years ago. Its close minded to think i am somehow responsible and owe anyone an apology for something that happened before I was alive. racism is just silly, the fact that its still a thing, or rather that people are pretending like it is, is annoying. Im pretty racist so maybe my opinion doesnt count. Japanese girls are better looking, period.

I think it's actually condescending in some ways, a POOR foreign kid can't fend for himself, he must be oppressed, ohh let's sympathise with them because they're a little puppy that needs our protection. I think this type of emphasis on racism actually belittles the people they purport to help, treating them like the african kids you saw on adverts that need YOUR help. It's actually atrocious. This isn't the 70s, we have came a long way. There's back alleys of racist rednecks but that should subside with each generation: There are laws that protect against this kind of bullying, corporate very heavily emphasises equality through Pride parades, Equality parades, quotas and the like.

Why can't you just talk to a supposedly "different" person, without the need to think in a racial context? Have these people actually talked to someone from another place as their equals, or do they constantly think of them as victims? If they're emphasing their victimization all the time how can you talk to them as equals?

All these people acting like they're combating racism too: Most of you are just wearing a shirt to make you seem morally "good". You're taking a very low-risk move and reaping all the rewards as if you're someone that has actually combated racism.

yes it has come full circle, we are helping the "subjugated people" more than everyone else, regardless of actual need. You know, giving out scholarships based on race, because thats totally not racist.

It's something that has been on my mind for a long time and I've been trying to understand how it's all tied together. What I'm talking about is the zeitgeist of the 2010's, where it's become a practice to invent these various invisible forces – racism, sexism, human-made climate change, etc – i.e. a bunch of things people barely understand yet turn into mass-scale battles between groups.

My personal opinion is that a lot of these notions behave like mind viruses (or in fact "memes" as originally defined by Dawkins). One can trace the origins of many of them back to countermovements of the 60s etc, but I think the transmission of these ideas have become facilitated in recent years by the emergence of social media where people can latch onto movements instantaneously, form massive ingroups/outgroups in the course of hours, and spread moral judgement effortlessly with their keyboards.

It is very much a mind-virus, it's even more apparent in my generation: It's like they assume you're racist, sexist and the like if you don't emphasize the social movement in every conversation. Racism is the new form of traditionalism.

What are your thoughts? Why children answer this way?
Especially interested in opinion that doll tests were(and are still) staged? Why? How you can tell?
Do you think that color of interviewers is crucial factor in children answers?
(orginal study in 1940 was done by black interviewers)
