Hey All! I’m fairly new to the forum thingy; I just spent a couple of months trying to integrate with the elitists over at INTPc. …To no avail. I wanted to continue my social experiment here(if you all will allow me to). When I become aware of all the MBTI stuff a few months ago, I was really impressed with how accurate the INTP profiles were (as per describing me). I was absolutely thrilled with the notion that I could find whole forums where people identify with my personality type. However, I have been demoralized by my lack of “connection” given my effort. Also, a lot of the fault is mine. Like I said I’m new to this stuff, and I was a bit too much. Here’s to lessons learned and hopeful beginnings!!!

Yeah... a lot of us had that experience. That's why we're here now :D Trust me when I say you'll be glad they scared you off.

I've never actually been there... Anyways, welcome.
I prefer tiger sharks to actual tigers, to be honest. That's probably just because I'm an ichthyolatrist, though.

INTPc scares me. I (luckily) found it AFTER I found this forum, so I got a taste of how such a forum SHOULD be before I found INTPc....

I think I found INTPc first, but I didn't bother looking through it much at all. I then forgot about INTPc and the entire concept of a forum for INTPs for a while. A few months later, I decided to Google "INTP", and came upon this forum that way.

So although I found INTPc first, psychologically it was as though I had found this place first.

I sometimes wonder what the people at INTPc think of INTPf, but I refuse to post anything about it over there, for fear that we would be flooded by the sort of people that make INTPc worse than INTPf.

Has anyone seen a thread about INTPf on INTPc? Please DO NOT make one, just post a link to an existing thread if you have one.

Hi and welcome to the coolest typology forum out here, IMO of course. The people here are great.

In any case, for logical types over 'there' they sure don't have the objectivity that, to me, constitutes being a logical intuitive. They sure as hell like to jump to conclusions about people and topics that they think they automatically know something about because they're dominant thinkers.

Idiots.

And yeah, I don't want this forum to be noticed by the community over there as they like to exploit groups and individuals time to time who express opinions of this nature.

And obviously it's not ALL bad there, but I overall feel a fake and pretentious attitude there which doesn't strike me as promoting intellectual growth.

Well, a very postive omen indeed! :)

I’m not sure I understand?
Do you study ichthyosaurus? Have a passion for them?? Think you are one???:)

I was originally pointed to INTPc by one of the online MBTI test I took. Only yesterday did I google for other forums.
I like that this forum is sorta new. INTPc suffers from “old Guard” syndrome.

No, I never recall seeing INTPf mentioned over there, they do chat a bit about MBTIc and the INTJ forums though

I have one item of interest remaining over at INTPc. ( Me and another user were hacking an Online Jung 8 Cognitive process test... trying to discover why the results are sometimes foggy for INTPs)

Thus, i have been lurking not signed in @ INTPc (for over a week) to keep tabs on that. Otherwise, I have no desire to return. I do notice a couple of familiar screen-names here, and one that is held in great infamy @ INTPc. I should think this a badge of courage.

THANKS ALL!!!

Who wants to know?
I guess I can greet you now.

Welcome to the forums, Orio (XD) (Watch out, nicknames I give tend to stick. Ask love, fer and nia). If you're lucky, you may even find entertainment over here. :)

On a side note, I'm sure I've seen your white cat avatar somewhere before.

INFJs is a much nicer mbti forum than this one. I'm biased, I like INFJs :D. Though this one is pretty goddamn nice. And much better than old clickyclique...
