Yes, with accurate results (where will I go to college, how many quarters did person X place under the cup in the other room, how did this couple meet, etc). No Satanism necessary, though apparently more interesting/effective if under the influence of cannabis. More than 1 person helps, and all must legit believe in the possibility of truth manifesting in that manner. My running theory is that it's an unconscious mechanism of the players themselves.

Over my lifetime we've had 1 accurate lottery prediction and 1 candle put out in response to being asked "are you here," but that's beyond standard.

Never used one, I decided to read about it a bit since reading this thread.

There's a lot of horror stories about them, I think some of them are self-fulfilling prophecy in a lot of ways. However there's a lot of accounts of some creepy shit happening that there's not any good explanation I can give, assuming the people aren't making it all up.

Reading a bit about it, the Ouija board is generally seen as irresponsible to use, because spirits shouldn't be summoned to this world etc.

If the counter often moves in a figure 8 it's supposedly a demonic entity you're dealing with, or if it moves in circle motions the entity is trying to create a portal.

I'd kind of like to see someone research the concept of the Ouija board.

There's an atmospheric component to fostering belief. If you're in the midst of "believers," you sort of carry their vibe, at least in the moment.

The lottery one happened when I was 12. My aunt asked what the lottery numbers would be the next day just bullshitting, it told her all 3 numbers, and no one actually played them.

It also predicted I'd go to grad school during my junior year of high school when I had a sub 2.0 GPA and was in juvenile reintegration.
