It's odd to me that such a creature exists. They are terribly ugly and have an awful name, but there's also this:

...duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed mammal...
Seriously? They're not "unique", they just steal shit from other animals. If I was a duck/beaver/otter, I would be pissed that my good name is being besmirched just so some creature can move around and be uninteresting. Not impressed.

What are you talking about?? Platypuses are awesome! Besides, I looked up your beaver (gosh that sounds wrong) and it originated in the Pleistecine period, while the Platypus is from the Cretaceous period. So really, the beaver stole from the platypus, not vice versa. So much for your attempt at defamation!
