Let me first apologize to all for not having my first post as an introductory post. I have yet to complete my profile as well, but I simply had to share a few things.

I'm a bit concerned with whether or not this is who I am. I've taken this test for the second time in my life and scored INTP this go round. The first was while I was in school, fresh out of a term in the Army, ready to conquer the world, full of confidence and scored completely on the other end of the spectrum. Having taken the test again, I find that the INTP type personality more so represents who I am. I feel I answered the questions incorrectly because I of how I wanted others to see me. I don't know if it was because I was deprived of something in my life, which cause me to crave for it or if it was me wanting to prove to myself that I could do it. Either way, I was lying to myself.

Actually, thinking back into my childhood, I find some striking similarities. As a child, "extremely shy" and "self conscious" is how I would describe myself. I'm perfectly fine just sitting next to a friend and not saying a word for hours. I too have difficulty communicating to others my emotions. Being older, I absolutely hate working in teams, unless I learn to trust everyone to get the job done correctly. I don't want to micro-manage, yet I feel that I have too.

Also, I have a hard time with job references wheather professional or personal. I just don't care to know anything about anyone outside of work. This has proven to be difficult as I can't seem to stay at one position for an extended period of time and once I move on, I cut all ties and move on completely. This is an problem, especially with how society is set up and I am trying to get better at this. I have made it an effort to have small talk with my co-workers.

I don't buy into all of this word for word, but I can't doubt the facts. Some of the post that I have read on here had me in tears from laughing because I can relate 100%.

I must say, I am quite impressed with how many young people are on here and aware of their personality type. You have a foot ahead and will be more likely to succeed.

In short, I'm excited that I found this site and will be on here quite a bit trying to reassure myself that this is who I am and I'm hoping everyone will assist. I'm at a crossroad in my life right now and looking for others who have been down this path and can give me some insight.
