Noi the Albino is an Icelandic movie about a bright teenager stuck in a small town so remote the rest of the world might just be fiction entirely. He has no interest whatsoever in school, probably for the obvious reasons. Hmm, this sounds awfully familiar... But here is where our stories differ, because even Noi, as isolated as he may be, gets his own romantic subplot
But it's actually pulled off well, it's very underplayed which works in its favour.
This may be one of the best movies I've ever seen. The soundtrack is great, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Alternatingly hopeless and hopeful, tragic, dramatic and comedic. Highly recommended.
