Is it possible for someone to not fit into any of the MBTI personalities?
I don't really know for sure 100% if I am an INTP, which seems to plague me. I've been taking a look at other forums, judging according to what I think might be compatible with my personality.
Maybe I'll add more of my findings on other types forums.
I noticed on one of the INFJ forums I visited, aside from what an awful green and yellow set up it was. There aren't a lot of people having long winded conversations... And many of the INFJs don't seem to shy away from using real pictures (of themselves I would assume/hope) as avatars. Which is something I would normally not want to do. I won't join continue story threads where they use real people's pictures and stuff. Something about it just comes off as creepy or egotistical about it to me. From this and a few other things, like some of the corny things they write <_<; I've decided maybe I'm not an INFJ.
I get stuck on the INTJ forum, just because there's so much to read and I find it a very amusing and interesting forum. I pretty well like INTJs, though I don't see that I could contribute as much as they seem to be able to... Though, based only on the MBTI description of functions the main difference between Ps and Js is how they decide to take action. Js are structured and Ps not so much. I noticed someone on the INTJ forum who made a very INTP sort of spontaneous statement. Also I find this of interest: There's a topic where they're discussing (off the actual topic) Socionics, which is apparently arguably different from MBTI, but they use the same letters. INTP- MBTI, INTp- Socionics. Also from what I've read of the discussion most of the INTJ dislike the socionics version (Some of them call it crap and an INTP on there agreed). Though some of the INTJs were mentioning how they would come off as INTps by Socionics descriptions.
Has anyone else been unsure or been curious and taken a look at other forums? What were your opinions of the forum? And also, as a restatement, do you think it's possible for someone to not relate closely with any of the MBTI personalities? Is it possible for someone to not have a personality?
