I don't think I could develop stories half as fast without music.
Pretty much anything works, but the style of song affects the tempo and style of the scene.

Sooooo...

If any members have any particular Piano pieces they feel I'd benefit from, I'd be thankful if they shared them.
I need something sad, something heroic, something vast and creeping, and something mechanical, if possible.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but here's my stab at it for now. It's not purely mechanical, but it seems like a decent combination of mechanicality with other elements:

I'll try to find other things when I'm not in class.

Also on the mechanical side, perhaps some of Bach's Inventions would be good. Bah, no time to see if any of what's available on youtube is of decent quality.

(Oh, sorry. Just to put it more sensibly, I don't mind what is thrown to me, so long as it's something you deeply enjoy, and you think would benefit a persons creativity. Although I would like something robotic in particular. :D)

Oooh. It's perfect.

Well, it doesn't fit any aspect of the story I've encountered already, but it's certainley leading to new ones. Isn't that always the way? XD

I've added the majority of these to a new 'Piano' playlist on my phone, so rest assured you have done some good in the world! Or perhaps evil?

At any rate you've done something that might move something and will inevitably change things at some point down the line, and what else is life for? :}

@EyeSeeCold I especially like your creeping suggestion.
Hell, anyone would feel like a player if they were accompanied by that. >: D

@Adaire

I feel like that song is now a parasite in my brain. 0-0

I wonder if one could listen to that, watch Donnie Darko, have their walls fitted with screens constantly playing the Doctor who intro and smoke weed profusely, while retaining their sanity?

@tepellian

Oooh, yes, perfect.

It's sad, but constructively sad! I feel like it's already telling me a story...
