I’m not sure if I got lucky or if I am actually partially an intp because of this but my dad is an intj and always has been. And I never really took in the significance of this from an extroverted perspective I guess but I think I’m improved on several psychological skills because of my dads highly developed Ni and Te but it definitely has helped. I have a lot of advice from INTJs if anybody is curious and a intj friend that is fairly close too that I’ve known for the last 6 years almost which I believe is significant because I’m realizing how rare they are. Also the reason why I think I became an intp is because of my rebliious attitude to all my dads flaws and naturally rebelling from him because he’s my father and I’ve taken all of the person mistakes I think he had and reformed it. Believe it or not we fight a lot and we are both turbelent( type-Ts) variations of our types so we actually constantly have been debating logic my whole life with him and learning from it but tbh more so now we argue over logical dominance a lot and it’s really bad. However, me and my intj friend probably get along more than anyone else, even my entj friend but this is probably because I know so much about him from my father. But otherwise I’m pretty sure it’s actually hard for intps to get along with intjs almost like if they are rivals in several stereotypical scenarios. And most of the time the only other personality type with males that I get along with is entjs. With females it’s usually infjs and infps. But I’m not sure how much tht differentiates with gender because I don’t really know to many of those types with other gender except some infps males which I don’t mind much. And infj males and entj females are super rare

I beg to differ. I have at least 3 intj close friends and my fiancee is an intj. Although they find my Pness maddening it gives them new perspectives. On the other hand they give me a better perspective on social stuff since they're slightly better than me on that department.

Maybe it just depends on whether or not they are type T’s or type As but also he is my dad and he is the only intj I really do fight with. My arguments with my intj is always very open minded and never emotionally bias. As long as the intj believes you are smart they usually do love to listen and discuss and is usually open their minds too new perspectives too, as long as they aren’t being stubborn

My friend that’s is a type-A very assertive INTJ likes me a lot like practically loves me. My intj father stopped being open to my thoughts when I always know everything he is going to say all the time and he says this so probably is closed off to listen but if I am to reflect, intjs have always been the easiest for me to talk to of all types even moreso than other intps

Intj's are stubborn period They will try to see your views but you got to earn it.

yes i think its because it's your dad that's why things are have more conflicts involved.

Conscientiousness and Openness are probably the things that contribute to how well you can stand someone more than anything else. Neither of these are a direct correlation between Jungian functions and/or MBTI types.

Everyone seems to know rare personality types irl.
Well people can naturally fish for types that are similar to their own or sometimes compatible

Hasn't happened to me.
Maybe you have to do a little bit of imprinting and empathizing with people. If you don’t you could display signs of eccentricism or even high levels of cynicism
Being self absorbed. Now that I do not go to school anymore or have a job, my open minded desire for people side hasn’t really been there and I’m not sure I will find anymore for a while than I already have

I used to think I’be never found any intps, but then I silently dwelled and realize I didn’t really see how I exploit myself and appear to society. After I had a realistic view point of myself I finally realized how many intps I’ve met and known. And it wasn’t really too much but a lot of the ones I’ve met I never really takes to and the ones I did were usually somewhat competitive for me in a way or clingy for a bit then distant. Like I have been with many irl... but INTJs are usually the quiet ones that feel like they are perfect for you to talk to and have their own mystery to them you can relate with on an, ability-like level or power manner

Well I'm INTJ I just dislike to talk to most people and try to stay on my own that's probably why.

I hear that INTJ's and INFJ's have a "singular truth" point of view. because of Ni.

How is this different from INTP's and other types?

Ni is Se, which cares about the physical environment, and is detail oriented. INTJ & INFJ have it as their "dominant function" whereas ENTJ or ENFJ have it auxiliary. Ne/Si also is concerned with reality, but is more broad in scope and possibilities. Ni singles out on a single one.

So it actually depends on intent, motivation, and whether it's dominant or auxiliary. A T could use it mostly for science and it influencing their worldview. An F uses it for social interaction mostly as their influence for a worldview. So they're similar but different. It's where an INFJ's "ideal" comes from, and why people get mad when you don't do stuff they say.
