I'm reminded of one of my most formative experiences : age 7 or so on a train with my mother, i was drawing/writing when an old man approached us, aggresively snatched the pen out of my hand and said sternly to my mother "don't let her do that - it lets the devil into her" !!!!! Have never been quite the same since.

I have two older siblings (feelers) who were always really good at painting, while I sucked miserably.

However, as a kid I used to always draw the same face so I had time to perfect it. One day my mother saw one, and knowing how bad I was at painting, she was so impressed that she responded: "You didn't draw that did you?"

No one would read my crap because my humor is too weird and I care too little for producing anything that's not spontaneous. Also I once again broke the time limit. Took like 7 minutes to draw that pic, and then another 3 to come up with something to write.

Or well I do serious paintings too, but it can take me 2 years to finish one because I only paint when I feel like I know what to paint. The rest of the time I leave my works in progress lying around, occasionally throwing a glance at them; whereupon I feel bad about my own laziness.

Your mspaints in this thread are incredible. I'm inspired, if you can't tell.
