What's a great MMO to replace wow with?

Depends what you want out of it. I really liked EVE, but I also had some issues with it that have kept me from playing it for about a year. It is also completely different from WoW.

I also would say, though, that you should think about why you're quitting WoW before starting another MMO, though you probably already know that.

if you're down with following the crowd who left WoW, i'd say go for Aeon.

If you have a wii i'd suggest monster hunter tri since it's a really good game for co-op with a steep learning curve

You should tell us why you're leaving WoW, so we can make suggestions based off of that.

Like if you're quitting because you no longer enjoy the feel of the game, you should be opting for something completely different, like Guild Wars, or Conquer.

Whereas if you're quitting because you're tired of the content, you could move onto Runes of Magic, or Aion.

Quite true. If your frustration in WoW is primarily related to douchebaggery, FFXI may help, although the actual game is somewhat considerably different.

FFXI is an expensive grindfest (lots of expansions etc). imo just wait till FFXIV to come out if you want a FF MMO

I played FFXI for a long time, since NA launch until about 1-2 years ago. I stopped playing and won't play another MMO again because I realized it's a big waste of time. That said, I still do keep constant contact with people I've met in the game. It was fun to play because of the people in it, but it's gone in the direction of WoW. The only fun left was endgame drama, which was always fun to read because each server is very close knit. There is some hope in rejuvenating the game, they're planning to increase the level cap from 75 to 99, the first increase since (I think) 6 or 7 years. The game was really saturated at 75 with too much to do.
