Minecraft Server v2

Looking for expressions of interest so I know which hosting plan to sign up to.

Vanilla Minecraft (no mods) so no mucking around with any of that (though we may do if there's a demand for it in future), I think it would be nice if we could build a virtual clubhouse of sorts, y'know make the dark castle for which this forum's primary theme is named.

And y'know if the forum goes down again at least we'll still have somewhere to meet.

Sounds like an interesting idea.

A few of us added each other on skype some time ago. Duxwing and I ended up playing Battlefield 4 beta together. It was a great deal of fun.

I joined the previous minecraft intp world hosted by, I believe, Vegard Pompey. I enjoyed spending some time in our little intp world. There weren't many of us, but we checked in quite regularly. This was quite some years ago. I think I would be interested in joining this new one. I like that you want to forgo mods.

A virtual 3d representation of this forum could be interesting to build. The depression club, for instance, could be an actual room located inside a larger, gloomy building that is the intp-forum. The drunken club, a place for debauchery and late night speeches with a bartender that turns his, or her eye to everything, or even joins in.

Preferably, and unfortunately, most should be built using obsidian to match the look of the forum. Or alternatively, and much easier, dyeing wool.

The server could just be hosted with a custom resource pack? Some of the more uncommon block textures could be edited to have a more ominous look to them?

If people end up being interested I could give it a shot.
