I already selected "Libertarian."

Start a special thread, and create your own INTP nation.

More interesting than "I'm misunderstood," etc.

Well, some INTPs are fascist so I don't think I would go with libertarian.

Am I doing it right?

I thought fascists were E/INTJ or INFJ.

You can do it any way you choose!

If intps created a nation it probably be something like Japan. They're apparently 20% intp.

I don't know about an INTP nation but this is how I'd run things.

Insurance, healthcare, education, superannuation, banking, utilities (including telecommunications) are all exclusively public services, pharmaceutical companies face heavy fines if they're caught profiteering.

There's an extensive subway rail system, Tokyo level extensive, this is used to move both people and goods between suburbs, the suburbs themselves have minimal road infrastructure, very little parking is provided and zoning laws allow for mixed commercial/residential structures. This is to discourage the use of personal vehicles as much as possible and encourage people to shop locally and walk to the shops, obviously there is some parking for the infirm and elderly. Public transport is free, cargo transport is reasonably priced.

Fire, ambulance and police emergency services are combined into a unified force with personnel sourced from the military, being able to enter the emergency services is considered quite prestigious (like joining the SAS or Seals). Given the purposefully minimal road infrastructure they instead use VTOL capable aircraft (with pumps for firefighting and medical supplies for paramedical activities) and are highly trained in aerial insertion/extraction while the transport remains airborne.

They're armed too, in case anyone is really stupid enough to pick a fight with a paramilitary force that has close air support.

^ Dystopian book I think I read ages ago.

That said I would pick up a good public transport system, of course that requires high population density and the zoning laws as well. Low parking but high motorcycle parking/maybe rules about motorcycles parking on the sidewalk as long as they don't impede pedestrians. This allows for optimal road usage.

I also think education and healthcare done right pay for themselves. The military part is iffy though. On the one hand saves money with the military doing nothing most of the time while still having an even larger standing army. Loses specialisation and of course adds the dystopian level a bit.

The rest sends it way into dystopia though with the government controlling everything and losing out on balances.

The emergency service personnel aren't military, they're sourced from the military so they've been military trained/vetted but they're their own thing. They're armed as police need to be but they would spend most of their time dealing with medical/fire emergencies, they don't need to patrol around being intimidating and detective/forensic personnel would operate separately because their job is entirely different.

"Paramilitary" was overstating it, think SWAT with helicopters that also function as ambulances and fire trucks, their mentality is public protection with an emphasis on protection rather than being dedicated law enforcement which to me seems a lot more dystopian.

I would imagine an INTP nation very heavily putting an emphasis on science. I don't really know what else would happen government-wise, though. I do know that you wouldn't really see many people outside, except for grocery shopping, or unless you were at a library or something that would be of interest to an INTP.

I would put a lot of mind onto education since I think the public school system, at least here in America, is extremely ineffective and idiotic. I’m not exactly sure if other INTPs will agree with this but I think it’s a common trait for INTPs to see the faults in schools and how easy it is to become uninterested in to and how repetitive it is.

I would also try and encourage fresh diets and limiting ones sugar intakes but that’s honeslt about all I would do. :/

You're kidding, right?

They had samurai and shoguns.

They believed that if someone failed a complete a task set by their employer, they should kill themselves.

They're obsessed with ritual. Granted, everything means something. But even so, can you see INTPs following rituals obsessively?

They don't invent new technology. They don't even expand on it. Japanese corporations use technology. They pay people to site reading through patents. Then if the guy discovers anything that they could use in their products, they approach the patent-owner and get him to licence his patent (in return for royalties - a cut of the profits).

They're also extreme workaholics. They used to work constantly and drop dead in their 40s.

I like Japanese culture. But can you honestly see any INTPs being like that?
