INTP in the current economy

I have been aware of being INTP since the late 1980's. In light of the current trends and series of layoffs, I am beginning to wonder which personality types are most targeted as I see see the INTP traits being particularly threatening to incompetent management.

INTP are not detail oriented as such, we are macro or system oriented and analytically minded. While this gives rise to a high degree of strategic and innovative thinking or creative problem solving, it does make for difficult management calls and situations such as board meetings, meet and greets with clients, and judgment calls based on incomplete data.

What do you think? Are INTP in lower ranked positions likely to be targeted by insecure mangers due to an unstable economy?

It's not the type, it's the behaviors. If you have a boss who wants SJ-behaviors, then engage in SJ-behaviors or look for another boss.

No, but I would wager people with persecution complexes might be targeted.

If you're in a job, do it well. If you can't, find another job. While the occasional boss may treat you poorly, I assure you that the economy doesn't have a vendetta against you.

It isn't about personality type. Its about power. Get rid of the middle class and the rich become that much more powerful. Make everyone too weak to oppose.

unfortunately many IT jobs are outsourced to india these days, which doesnt bode well for intp cyber geeks. but yes, the average bear will scoff at innovative or non-mainstream ideas and ways of negotiating reality, to be sure.
