I think it's possible that there are a lot of people who like to imagine that they are a certain way.

There are a number of internet communities that shower acceptance onto certain behaviors. After all, the internet is still a place of fantasy, where people get to escape their daily lives and pretend to be someone else. It makes sense that a community will mold itself to be more and more extreme in one set of traits -- everyone trying to out-do each other to gain the acceptance. Throw in something simple like fake internet points, and you'll get a frenzy.

Teens and young 20-somethings are still very driven to be cool, to find their social niche, and to feel special. It makes them more impressionable, and more susceptible to self-delusion to meet their social ends.

What I'm driving at is, I think it's reasonably likely that the majority of INTJs and INTPs on Reddit aren't INTJs and INTPs. They just wish/imagine they are.

So ENFJs use Internet the least?

ESFJ's actually, since they have the lowest ratio of Reddit presence to global presence (assuming the same holds true if we substitute the Internet in general for Reddit in the study).

As Yellow pointed out, this study probably relies on self-reporting, so there's probably a lot of error caused by people's insecurities (among other things), but I can believe that introverts have a higher concentration on Internet forums than overall. It satisfies the urge to be social without many of the pressures of physical company.
