I just wanted to say "Hi" to you all after lurking around this forum for a while after finding out that I was INTP.
A bit about myself: I'm 16 and a senior in high school, applying to college in a couple months which is what my entire life is sort of centered around at this point. I absolutely loved my Physics class last year, have taken AP Calculus, and am currently taking AP Computer Science which I was also pleasantly surprised to see fitted with the INTP profile. Still, this college thing is causing quite a bit of strife because, even though I'm a decent student, I don't see why colleges would pick me out of the thousands of applicants, let alone choosing a major, wondering whether I'll succeed in that major, whether I'll even enjoy that major, etc.
I would also like to say how nice it's been to find people who actually seem to understand me! I've never been interested in social niceties, resulting in some difficulty maintaining friendships with other girls because I can't see the point of so much of the triviality they talk about. It's also been hard to find people who think the same way I do, and frustrating dealing with people who don't. But it's encouraging to know that there are other people who struggle with the same things as I do and have still found their place in the world.
