This whole intro is an example of my extreme procrastination. I have been on this forum for long enough to become a "member", and I have put off a making an introduction for so long. Well, here I am, a new day....I am redeeming my self, starting over, ending the spiraling procrastination. ... *sigh*

Actually,

I'll write this tommorow.

I promise.
Maybe.
30% chance.

You know this, right?

I won't repeat my usual saying, cause you know it already and you're not new anymore ;)

Welcome to the forum anyway! I'm sure you'll find many fellow procrastinators like myself. :D

heehee.
Yeah, I definatly fit the catagory of "horizontal organizer" I literally take out every single folder in my backpack (and that's a lot of folders) for each class and spread them all out so I can see them. I hate keeping anything away where I can't see it if I need to work on it, because it will never get gotten to.

Now, because I am a procrastinator, I am going to get this intro done in parts.

Part 1: I am 16, have a cat named Callisto, love molecular biological engineering, and live in Wisconsin where it is cold all the time. I have an INTP sister and mother and a INTJ dad who thinks he's right about everything (not ;)).

Part Two: school: I go to a highschool where there are no INTPs. I love the science department staff. The best thing about my school is how the science department classrooms are all connected in a labrynth of tunnels and storage rooms. This is especially cool because I got a key from being the lead the science team. I stupidly chose to be an overachiever and a procrastianator. Not a good choice if you want any sleep. So I, in my junior year of all years, took a maddenly hard class load and an english class that has a paper per week. I hate papers. Except the papers I write for APPSE, my history/government class about the Constitution and the Enlightenment. We participate in a competition called the We The People competition. Best part is being in unit 1 and reading all the Enlightenment philosopher's work. As a junior, I had to take the PSAT, I also took it as a sophmore. Last year I had a 99% in the Critical Reading section, and I am still waiting for my results this year. That's school. In summary: It kills me and I hate it, but I love learning, and the Sci. Department staff.

Hell, I'm directionally challenged, let alone horizontally... I can't get the motivation to GO anywhere...

@Lady, that school work becomes easier over time. The reason it sucks right now is that the work they've been assigning has been getting progressively more difficult through your entire school career. That's so you are ready for the workload in college. As I remember, what amounted to big papers in high school were just normal papers in college. After you get through your freshman year of college, it stops getting worse for a while. The paper requirements in my senior year of college weren't appreciably different from my freshman year. On the other hand, graduate work is significantly harder once again. One day, I hope to get as far as doctoral work where you write whole books.

Biology is an exciting field of study with an enormous range of opportunities. Good luck. (Now I need to read about horizontal organization?)

Thanks for the link Ogion. I like that guy. Hate to say it, but I might try the structured procrastination method. His final points about excellent self-deceptive skills sort of catch my attention. The whole paper looks like a joke, but it's not so funny to somebody who doesn't understand why he won't spend the 5 minutes it takes to go online and pay the power bill. I'm obviously already playing games with my behavior, why not semi-consciously manage it?

Yes :D. I'm looking foward to it. However, I keep becoming attached to other fields, like physics, pure chemistry, philosophy, Constitutional law, art, Astronomy, etc., that I wish I could study in-depth and have as a career too, but can't fit all (or even most) my interests in one job. It keeps feeling like I'm giving up something whenever I narrow down what I want to do.

Wh...wh..whole books???
You mean, like pamphlets...right??
Nope. You mean books. As in million page monsters that devour sleep and cause extreme stress.
I die.

But, writing a book could be fun. As long as it's a science book, I'll survive.
