I recently took the MBTI and discovered that I'm an INTP. Now normally when I frequent forums I'm pretty standoffish just like I tend to be in normal social situations, but I'm compelled to dive in here as I'm interested to know how I mesh with fellow INTP'ers. I'll start off by telling a bit about myself:
I like to read but I'm picky about what I read, my library has books ranging from secret societies, ancient history, philosophy, and fringe scientific theories that I can't hardly grasp.
I tend to be anti-establishment and rebel against authority figures and what I believe to be laws encroaching on the rights and privacies of citizens and the agendas of corrupt politics.
I'm 22 years old and more or less live as a drifter, I tend to be cold and distant on a personal level as I find it difficult to trust others enough to let myself come through.
Well, that's my intro. On a side note I have a somewhat mischievious and sometimes abrasive sense of humor, but dont' take it personally.

I like you already!
Welcome and have fun. Especially with some of the crazy bastards here. Let that humor out on them without filter.

New guy,

I also like your attitude. You'll find that this forum is a safe haven for anti-establishment sensibilities.

Yes, but we will still argue over them ;)

An INTPforum member comes to a crossroads. One sign points to the left and says "Utopia" the other sign points right and reads "Debate about whether Utopia is possible."

Most of us go to the right. :D

Welcome!

I drag the Utopia from the left into the debate section at the right to prove my point. : D

True. I suppose that we each have of our own establishments that we rebel against. At least nodody here resorts to appeals to tradition or authority as forms of argument.

In my mind.
Welcome. Sounds like you'll fit in just fine.
I'm new here, too, but so far, I'm having a great time.
As for your sense of humor, I think we'll have a great time with your humor.

I took a few tests on personality.info and created a badge, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to appear on my signature. Basically all I can get to appear is a direct link to it. If anyone can help me out here I will be eternally grateful.

I think you have to save it as an image then attach it to your sig.

And don't say "eternally grateful" around here, we are exactly the sort of people who would abuse the implications of such a pledge. Welcome.

Welcome to the place, RobertJ. Sometime we'll have to start and discuss some fringe science topics, I've been into those a lot lately, too. (If only it weren't so hard to sort through the interesting and the worthless ones...)

As soon as I grasp the fringe science of getting my badge to show on my signature... one step at a time. I save the picture and upload it, dragged and dropped the image from the website into the signature box. Pretty much everything. It either doesn't show or only shows up as a link.

Yeah I had a problem with this as well. Not too sure how I solved it. I may have ended up using a different browser to get it to work. There's some kind of bug in the image uploading feature with Firefox on Mac.

I'll try that, I've been using Firefox too.
EDIT: Hallelujah, mission accomplished.
