Hello,

So the power of suggestion has gotten the better of me. I have heard this forum mentioned in several places several times over the past week or so I decided to show up. I'm IndigoSensor (some people call me indy). Some of you might know me from the INFJ forum (naturally, I am an INFJ), as I am one of the Administrators over there. This place actually seems a lot cooler then I had expected so I think I will stick around here for a little while. I am not sure how much I will post cause I am usually busy on the INFJf, but we shall see. So, Hi!

A little about myself. I'm a Chemistry major at Montana State, entering my senior year. I am hoping to eventually get my PhD in organic chemistry (my goal is to become a professor). I love to ski and I am definitely a winter/snow person. I have the grammer and spelling skills of a gerbil. I love data and satistics, and am very much a J. I am very much interested in MBTI of course, and I read and think about it quite a bit.

I guess that is enough for now!

I think data and statistics is more of a T thing, which leads me to what I was going to comment on.. an INFJ that is interested in chemistry.. I wonder, what are your research goals in organic chem?

EDIT: Also, welcome to the forum and all that :P

I wonder if we can blame this one on Fukyo.

Ah, hello Indigo, welcome to my domain, I do hope you enjoy your stay, for what it's worth.

Though you might want to leave your usual J'ness out of debates here, just saying, if you value your life...;)

Would you beleive me if I told you I'm actually rather well behaved on this forum?

No?

Pity.

Welcome,

I don't go anywhere else so I can't be blamed for your presence...

Not that blame need be applied of course.

Not yet anyway.

:) I am intrigued to see the difference between J and P in heated discussion. This intrigues me. Welcome sire, to our homely abode.

My research goals in ochem are to just enjoy it really. I am endlessly fascinated by organic, and have been for a long time now. There is something elegant about it.

It was a bunch of you mentioning this place over there. Curiosity got the better me.

Also, I am actually not one to get involved in heated debates. I end up shutting them down or trying to disarm them, not engage them. I DETEST semantics in any form so the second I smell it I ditch.

Hiya Indy. I'm frozen over there (tho that was probably one of the places you heard it mentioned, so you likely know). Anyway, welcome to the world of :borg: and :tinykitball:... but with a strong cross-section of :kilroy: to balance it out. Just try to stay away from :happydolphin:, or the conversation may scar you for life (seriously, who thought adding that to the emoticon set was a good idea? For some reason, I blame lor)

You shouldn't be. J-types mean strong worldview, and strong worldview means pushiness.

By the time P-types get to a strong, obstinate position it's usually been through enough refinement to be reliable.

Of course, that's only if you see J and P in heated discussion. Usually it's just going to be complex personality pitted against complex personality, leaving the MBTI type to be only a paint-brush adding a little signature to the argument.

And, of course, all of the above was pure speculation based on seeing INFJs argue against INTPs on this forum.

EDIT: Oh, and welcome INFJ-person.

Not me! Fie... surely it is the obvious work of Cow. I mean. He's just so shifty and... kind of slippery. Like a Dolphin. :phear:

Welcome Indy. The days of bloodshed are long gone from our halls. Please take your ease.

Hmmm! And here I thought this was my domain, Melkor...
Welcome Indy, there's something for everyone here. If you prefer to just observe on occasion it is usually quiet back in the Archives ( I know because that's where they try to keep me, but someone keeps forgetting to put water in my trough...)

Hi Indy, now I get to see your posts in two places. Good thing you're using the same picture, otherwise, it'd be difficult keeping it straight.

PS - Try out the arcade if you get bored. There are surprisingly a lot of games on there.

Pfft, yeah right.

J-type just means you're right.

Music you have in common includes Crystal Castles, Beach House, The Knife, Fever Ray and Portishead.

Mm Portishead.

Don't know a lot of your library though.
