I'm new. I'm an INTP, borderline J. I quite like the MBTI system, I only discovered it a couple months ago, and it's actually pretty good. Being INTP, I find it much more engaging to talk with people sharing similar ways of thinking, so this forum should be spot-on. I can't stand F's (sorry F's). I can't level with them at all, so conversations with them often turn into like an experiment or a game for me. They're like another species, it baffles me.

So, that was kind of a messy intro, but hi. :)

You shouldn't just lump all F's into one category, there is a different set of mathematics that is going into all of their personalities. So while ExFJs can get on my nerves, INFJs and xxFPs can be pretty fucking awesome.

Welcome to the Elder brain!

Hey I'm down with all the NFs, it's those damn SFJs and daredevil SFPs that are not to be trusted. Welcome to the forum.

True that each of the 4 letters are a scale, so there's a wide range within F or P.

I don't actually have enough MBTI experience to know someone's type intuitively, so perhaps I should rephrase. I have a very hard time getting along with people who are extremely feely and emotional in disposition. Therefore my interactions with them feel like a study to me because their reactions can be surprising. I understand and get along better with people who use straightforward rationality like I do. Better?

(See what I mean though? I come off a lot harsher than people want me to. I didn't mean to be harsh at all.)

It's really not a scale at all, or at least it is counter-intuitive to think of it as one in the way that the MBTI suggests it is. But I won't get into that here.

But yeah, Fe dominants can be hell sometimes, and I think that is who you mean by "Feely and emotional", considering Fi dominants don't come off as being over emotional since their emotions are meant for themselves only.

Hello,
I used to work in a prison. i administered the MBTI to my clients. They were predominately SFs- although there were several ISTJs...
