Hi everybody! I joined this thread because one of my college classes required us to take the MBTI test and I saw this forum at the bottom of the type description page. I lurked around a couple of days and then saw a thread that I wanted to participate in. So, I thought I should do the honorable thing and introduce myself properly.
I am a college freshman studying classical political theory. After I took the test, I was highly doubtful that I was an INTP, because the description said that I was supposed to like math. Math just happens to be my greatest enemy. However, recent discoveries have showed me that I can still be a INTP without having a great love for the mathamatical realm. Plus, the rest of the description was just about exactly right. So, I am now here and hoping to find out a little about the INTP type (my school is just about entirely composed of ENTJ, INTJ, and INFJ personalities) and how to encourage the good traits and discourage the bad. I look foreward to getting to know other INTPs as well as more of you INTJs.

Welcome! I see you have discovered how a lot of the online INTP summaries can read as a bit of hogwash. They remind of me something like a horoscope sometimes. Lots of very interesting things in MBTI, though. I imagine that's especially true for someone that is interested in political theory. Enjoy your stay, and remember not to trust strangers around these parts. Bunch of brain munchers, these guys...
