So, I guess this thread is needed so I can make that transition from stranger to newbie.

I guess I'll start with my type. I've tested in all the online tests as INTP. I recognise the INTP traits.. but it doesn't feel right. I empathise with the profiles I've seen of ENFP, ENTP, INFP and to a lesser extent INTJ and ISTP. As you may have noticed, I am nearly certain that my primary function is Ne, however.

Internal tidbits: I'm intensely private, but slowly and firmly, I'm learning how and when to bring my guard down. I have an obsession with editing/deleting posts, but it's something I'm beginningto get over. I've only just started to engage my intellect again, so forgive me if my knowledge base seems.. shallow. Compliments make me feel very uncomfortable in a way that I can't yet articulate well. Oh, and I've only recently discovered that I'm textbook neophile.

External tidbits: I'm black, 18 and live in London. According to my research (i.e the search function), I'm only the fourth (known) black person to have registered on this site, so far?

If that's the case, I'll try not to intimidate y'all with the size of my Pness.

Welcome to the forum! The MBTI isn't 100% accurate, so some confusion is to be expected, ultimately, what you are is your call. Generally speaking, you know yourself better than the test does.

Okay: introduction question:

What name would you choose for a new planet discovered? What would it look like?

Okay - being creative or witty aren't my strong points so prepare to be underwhelmed.

And if I HAD to name a planet (and I couldn't delegate to someone else), I'd just use a random word generator so in this case, it seems the new planet would be called Ipsus.

As for what it would look like.. well, assuming I don't have to fit it into a model of our current solar systen probably then something like this: YouTube- The Day After Tomorrow (Trailer) but, y'know without the German voiceover, melodramatic actors and familiar architecture on it.

This forum would be actually be quite boring if we each didn't have personalities that were more different than similar. That being said it is nice to be in touch with some people that one shares more than one just one thing in common.
