Hey, 16 year old INTP here, I've taken the old personality test before but this time ended up at this forum.. I'm not big on introductions, but reading around it seems like this is a great place to discuss and hang out around other people who are eerily like-minded. ;) As for me, I'm just the "unmotivated, introverted, wannabe jack of all trades". I'm homeschooled, which is certainly a double-edged sword for me. Anyway, nice to meet everyone.

Hi Hikky and welcome! :D Nice to see another young members here, too.

What is it like to be homeschooled?

It's... a blessing and a curse.

I've gotten lots of things done I never would have gotten done in regular school. I've enjoyed lots of free time and lack of social obligations.
The biggest underlying problem with it, for me, is that my parents don't understand my procrastinating problem, and I end up just saying I did the work, when I didn't do it, and they believe me for lack of will to investigate.
Since the deadlines in homeschooling are veeery far off it becomes easy to procrastinate.
It also made me even more socially awkward than I already was..
Although I used to be overweight, and I've lost around 60 pounds on a diet I never could have maintained with daily obligations like school.. and I think I've gotten to know myself better, as well as all the things I've learned that they don't teach in school.
Really, the biggest problem is dealing with my extended family. They expect me to be an over-achiever like my cousin, and they're not so clueless as my parents.. I end up dodging questions regarding my schooling whenever I see them.
Well, at any rate, once I head off to college (Although I'll have to start in a community college), things should hopefully fall back into place... hopefully. If only me and academia could get along..
At least I'll be able to test out of a few courses, like language.

Sorry for the long post.

Sorry for the long post.

You're not allowed to apologize for long posts here. That's strike one ;)

I definitely sympathize with the procrastination problem, as does everyone else on this forum (with the possible exception of our resident INFJ, Shaz).

Well, we also have an INTJ and an ENTJ, but they aren't particularly active right now.

Who? Oh yeah, murkrow.

Also, welcome to the forums, hikky :) . I bet that my guess is right in that you got your avatar name from Hikaru Utada's nickname (and if I'm wrong, I'll disqualify myself due to funny grammar, preventing myself from actually having made a mistake thanks to sketchy reasoning :p)

Hi there hikky, welcome.

Methinks we're a trifle disorganised here for the NTJs. Perhaps their recent silence is due to the fact their heads exploded from trying to follow our trains of thought?

Well, hmm, it was the right language at least :P. It's actually internet shorthand for Hikikomori. It's not a word well-known in America of course but it basically means to stay confined indoors. I feel that's kind of the product of my INTP self combined with my situation right now..

(Ahh, I just looked up Hikaru Utada.. I had heard the name before but didn't realize she was also known as hikky.)

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Ah well, I didn't say I was good in guessing games anyway :1

@love: I don't think NTJ heads explode. They seem pretty blast-proof as far as I know.
