Yeah, this seems to happen to me as well. Sometimes it's hard to engage in pretty much anything. This incredibly suprising mood swing prevents me from engaging in or adding to intellectual discussions.
Curious how humans seem to think a depressed person can be cured by:
A- presenting them with an EVEN more depressing scenario and,
B-Making to suggest that all their problems are stupid and minimal anyway.
It doesn't quite add up...
Well, I suppose anything can serve as a cheer-up, but not everything will work on everyone. For some people, being reminded of other sad things just multiplies the sense of sadness that was already there, and the apparent attempt to lessen the importance of said person's sadness just makes them feel their feelings are unimportant. So, basically, they end up feeling sadder, and even more insignificant than before on top of that.But... but... Aren't you happy to know there is far, far, worse yet to come?
I mean, heck, you may be depressed, but at least you aren't depressed and OLD!
You will be one day. It's inevitable.
But not now! Doesn't that make you happy?
This word is an oxymoron.Melcute
