Anybody have any experience or interest using GIS, either as an analyst or a programmer who has developed GIS applications? Geotechnology is suppose to be one of the most important and evolving fields in 21st century, along with biotechnology and nanotechnology according to Dept. of Labor.

I use ESRI stuff (ArcMap et al). It's not the most flexible or advanced platform, but it's probably the easiest to learn.
