In the last time I often thought about a new way of interpreting MBTI functions.
There are many MBTI tests which give you a certain score for a function like "70% Thinking" or "54% Introverted" and I asked myself "How does that interact with reality?". The answer is - it does not. I cannot tell what's the difference between 60% T and 65% T. They never explain that.
My idea is that I want to associate the functions with traits. The higher your score is the more traits you have of a function.
All of the 8 functions have a certain pool of character traits and the higher you score in one of these functions the more traits you should have.
If you are 100% T you have only T traits but If you score 50% T and 50% F you should have the same amount of T and F traits, for example.
Mind you that this is a very experimental idea without any scientific approach.
