From Dust

I grew up playing Populous: The Beginning a lot, and--until recently-- resigned myself to the idea that I wouldn't see something similar to it again for a while due to the industry-wide fascination with sports games and generic shooters.

Then I saw From Dust.

As a person who has played video games since infancy and noticed the lack of decent simulation of materials like sand and water, it's really good to see this kind of innovation from small studios. Not to mention that it's nice to see a spirtual-sequel-of-sorts to the God sim that kept me so occupied as a kid.

What do you guys think?

I've been following this game since it's announcement, and I cannot wait for the release!!! I've really wanted a "world simulator" and this seems to be the closet thing
