Hmmm, Urakro's recent behavior is different from that of before, this is the fourth distinct theme in their posting that I am picking up. May be different tactics or merely an evolving player who is utterly new and adapting fast.
Or simply outside influences setting the tone for different ways of communication. I recall someone else mentioned here that it can have an effect on perceptions (time of day, energy levels, sobriety etc,)

The Hado connection is of interest, as Reluc mentioned, especially the exchange where Urakro stated a desire to lurk for some time and Hado encouraged them no to.

I would still class Urak as town for now, pending the result of a Gopher/Hado lynch.

Tomorrow I want to go through Zerk and Sinny's posts, I honestly have not been studying them in depth and I want to stop terming them as 'unknown' simply because of insufficient knowledge.

Sorry about making the 72 hour day oppressive. I normally play on Mafia dedicated sites so I'm used to different types of games. (where the Hado/Gopher argument would be more normal) I guess with majority lynch it could end at any time though we just need to agree or vote for it.

To the others who are confused, look at who's voting for who and who you already think is town in your gut and use that to help make a decision. (when you want to) Hado doesn't want to die until he wakes up.

Yeah exactly, the rest of the votes probably shouldn't go on til at least 24 hours til end of day. That said I don't really have anything left to say it all depends on what he has to say. The rule should be never vote someone off when they aren't here. That's why something like 48 hours set lynch time. (whoever has the most votes gets lynched at the time) is actually easier on people in my opinion. Just sucks if the timezones are off.

I am not being lynched today. I'm going to post my QT (committing suicide) on the grounds that you lynch gopher immediately afterward.

I have never been so certain of a read in my life. Gopher has not bothered hiding from me for basically all of day two, he's been using manipulations that only appeal to you guys.

So please, if I can get everyone's agreement to lynch gopher today (on the grounds that I do flip green), I'll kill myself. Yes I'm martyring, but I'm not bluffing you here. I would die to take gopher down today, rather than give him a whole other day to talk his way out of it with an additional NK.

Can I get people to agree to such terms?

Same concern. Plus I don't understand, if he is Town, everyone will turn on Gopher and probably me, so why is he so concerned? It only makes sense to me if he's trying a last ditch effort at being manipulative.

I don't think QT will ban me for life since I will be playing to my win condition. By committing suicide rather than being lynched, gopher dies today instead of tomorrow. Meaning that scum only get one NK instead of two before both Gopher and I are dead.

And see Gopher wanting to wait? He wants to buy more time. If we kill him today he doesn't get to go and talk in the scum QT, meaning mafia will be blind.

Once I flip, town will know this isn't a manipulation. If they're clever, they understand it's not already because it's the only scenario which makes sense.

So for you, either I flip green and you're confirmed town, or I flip red and everyone ignores me, and you're confirmed town for killing scum while also not being counter-claimed. You're definitely green.

Unless we follow the argument that the real cop is waiting and I've been taking a gamble to screw with people. But honestly, if that were true, the "real cop" could show up and pretty much end the game by finding what side people were on and lynching them. So that doesn't even make sense I guess.

The whole point of not putting votes on each other is not to protect yourself why you're sleeping. It's so that nobody gets lynched until the last 12 hours.

I am aware that Hado quoted from the signup thread. This is unacceptable. From now on I will include a rule where threatening to break rules is just as bad as breaking them. You are to play to your win condition. Getting mod killed by posting your role is NOT playing to your win condition. I will also post a rule from now on that you are to follow the spirit of the rule. If you play by using underhanded tactics that bend the rules this is suboptimal play because it shows that you cannot play well enough to play by the spirit of the rule. Bending the rules means you don't have what it takes to actually play by the rules.

It's not complicated. It's simple.

If I get lynched, then flip town, Gopher has a real possibility of slipping the noose. He also gets an NK tonight, and tomorrow night. On top of which, he gets to talk to his buddies tonight and organise them.

If I die now in order to guarantee Gopher's death:
- I'm still dead
- He's definitely dead instead of probably dead
- He doesn't get to talk to his scum buddies, and I doubt he's talked to them too much about what comes next since he wasn't expecting to die today
- Scum get one less NK

It's all upside for town compared to me getting lynched. I know he's scum. He hasn't bothered hiding it from me since our real aggression started early day 2. He's been all-in on getting me lynched and silencing me, meaning he's given away so many tells he'd otherwise keep in check if he had to deal with me a day more. His entire demeanor is one of a scum gopher, posturing relentlessly to silence my read, because he knows you guys can't understand my reasoning. Man... I should have just said it was my intuition. I'd have gotten a free pass :P

Also by lynch or by modkill if you martyr yourself by lynching yourself the result is the same. Sure if I am scum I get to talk to scum team but all it means is we'll have a 1 hour day three as I get lynched.
