you guys should watch this film: Don't Stop Believin' : Everyman's Journey. My friend made this film. It's a documentary about this poor humbled street singer in the Philippines who had one big fan that would tape his performances and put them on youtube. He's seen by the band Journey singing some of their songs. Journey is looking to go on tour and they are inspired by this near homeless man in a third world country and invite him to audition. It's quite a ride.

It's pretty amazing how much Arnel Pineda's voice sounds like Steve Perry's. And pretty amazing they found their new lead off YouTube... both for them and for him.

I find the story simultaneously inspiring and frightening. Inspiring in the sense that if you take action and do what you love, eventually it may pay off. Frightening in the sense that, what if you love the wrong thing or long for a given thing, and once you achieve it, it ends up not being what you expected it would be? - I want to make a film that delves into that exact phenomenon. I feel The Matrix handled it quite effectively, this longing for truth and understanding, what if I achieve it? What if I find out the truth is actually a nightmare?

Sci-Fi is one of the best genre's for the esoteric; For example in the Buffy Season 5 finale the story consists of Buffy saving the world from the Demi-God Glory who plans to use a ritual to open a portal allowing passage from the demonic realms to bring about reign apocolypse down on Earth.

If you read the Bible and various religious/esoteric texts you will find many references to the 'Glory'; Gospel of Luke: 'An angel of the Lord come upon them, and the Glory of the Lord shone about them'..
