They're AWESOME. My sister is an ESFP and we've never had a fight. EVER.
Congrats!

I used to Date one, biggest waste of 4 months ever. I really wouldn't recommend them for an INTP.

They seem captivating at first, but once all the Se shit becomes boring and you want someone to just chill and to have deep abstract conversations with... They just stare blankly at you with those big Se eyes of theirs... Sometimes you can smell the gears grinding from their inferior Ni trying to grasp the first three words that came out of your mouth.

If attractive women who are good in the sack is all you are looking for, then ESFPs are for you, but if you are looking for someone who will actually get you, and contribute to your cool ideas, then as your attorney I cannot recommend the ESFP.

Hopefully you don't get one of those ESFPs that think they are proficient in their Te use, when in fact they suck at it. What you get is someone who just starts talking to you about everything you don't care about. What's worse is when you do try to discuss an idea of the future with one and you get major Ni-Te fail.

Anyway, that is pretty much my experience with a certain ESFP that I have to live with currently. They won't really push you or bother you beyond feeling the need to randomly explain something irrelevant to you, but after a while it's hard to look at this ESFP when I feel like absolutely nothing of any worth is going on in their mind as they stare blankly at cats playing with each other on youtube.

So, basically ESFP's are like cheap bubblegum; they're very fun and tasty(mind goes on a perverted tangent), but they lose their "flavor" and get boring quick. Is this about right?

Yeah dude, I am guessing the reason you are so into her is because no other girl has been that touchy and friendly with you before. They are like this with everyone.

So if you are prone to jealously, stay away from the ESFP.

The have absolutely no concept of boundaries, especially if they are undeveloped, which the vast majority of them are. So if they like you, then they will get super touchy with you, even if they only like you as a friend. They are the queens of mixed messages, and they will make every guy in a 40 mile radius think they have a shot with her. And then when you try and explain to her that being super touchy and flirty with every guy they see is basically green lighting them to try and get into her pants, they will have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.

Hmmm I don't know much about them. Do they fall in and out of love easily? Are they life-of-the-party but also with a kind of don't-give-a-fuck attitude? I think one of the guys at work might be one.
No, that is more of the ESTP.

... I like ESFPs. They're friendly. And I actually like explaning things to S's. It forces me to become a bit more articulate, and they often have a very different perspective. Even if it's incredibly naive, it's endearing.

I'm beginning to think my younger sister (she's 13) is an ESFP. I've also considered INFP and ISFP, I'm not sure and it's especially difficult to type people that young. She seems to use Te alot, but in confusing and inappropriate ways. She's always singing and moving around (Se) and gets her feelings hurt quite easily (Fi?). Seriously, if you even slightly criticize her, she takes it personally, though that may be more a function of her age than anything. Definitely big on drama, though once again, that's more of a "girl" thing (with the possible exception of NT girls) than an ESFP thing.

In general, I find ESFPs to be difficult but I'm also a bit jealous of how care-free they tend to be. I tend to think that ESxPs have the most enjoyable lives overall. No way to verify that, of course.

I had an ESFP as a fuck buddy, which quickly turned in to a lot of drama. As friends they are ok.

^Excellent Avatar. It gives a sense of relaxation.

Friendly, Adaptable, and all those social positivity. But socializing is not the only key in satisfaction. There is the mental urge that needs pleasing.

After reading the posts here, I'm starting to think that a friend who I had concluded to be ESFP is in fact ENFP.

In which case I don't know much about ESFPs.

I have an ESFP friend known for a long time. He is the most extroverted person I know. Very S. Used to teach sexology in school; now teaches Tai Chi. Very warm. Overweight. Never judgmental. I just have to keep a certain distance else get crowded. He understands this. He also agrees he is ESFP when I asked him. I had him stay at my place when I went on vacation. There was enough wreckage when I returned I won't repeat the offer. He paid for enough of the damage without my asking.

If you have any questions about the type in his case I will entertain them.

Knew one, he was great. So fun, really sweet and funny, really kind too. Sadly he was all over the place and had no idea what he wanted, ended up ending a relationship he'd been in for 2 years and regretting it tons (I think he felt caged by it then realised he wanted it).
I don't know about dating them, but they seem like great people, if a bit dense about actions and consequences.

That is very possible, I mistyped a handful of ENFPs I knew as ESFPs when I first got into MBTI. Because they did not seems all that "Intuitive" whatever that even means. There are many ENFPs that use their Ne mainly to be funny, so you don't really see that deeper side to them.
