Hi there, so let's start with the start. I'm an ENFP but some of my closest relatives are INTP's. One year ago, I started talking to a guy I met online, we were suppposed to meet, but of course, He cancelled but didn't want to stop talking with me. Because he was only doing an erasmus, He went back to his country but we kept in touch.

I noticed that he always come back even if he doesn't answer for a little while, is it a good sign or normal for INTP's?

Now, he's moving back to my country and he said he wants to meet. But knowing this guy's history, I can't really help but doubt him. After all, it's been a year. But I'd like some insights. I did a lot of first steps, but that's just because that's how I am. But i'm not really sure how much first steps is good to take.

Also, I think we both really enjoy our conversations, because I'm a bit intellectual/crazy and very curious and so is he :)

oh the erasmus life. imo shit ends, been there done that. i tell you, sunsets, drunken nights in stranger places, a different lady every night (well not literally), really random things happening.
imo while what you feel is real and probably really strong thanks to the power of the novelty of everything you are experiencing it does runs out like everything when you go back to routine.
i mean, if you are able to keep the fire in the distance that's quite something.
home is where your heart is.

try it, if it works cool, if it doesn't nothing new in the vineyard of the lord.
(i've heard some people hate their erasmus programs, probably isfjs.)

I think he likes you. But, he could be concerned about something such as disappointing someone else or other people.

I’m not lying. He could only want you for fast sex while he cultivates another relationship. In the end you have to figure out what you want. Have a plan or become a part of someone else’s.

Don't bother. In his mind, he's probably already cut you loose.

Just wait until he says something then say what you think the bets thing might be, all while trying to predict what he’ll say or do while you’re doing it.

At least for me it’s quite normal that I don’t answer calls/messages or reply like a week later. I’ve never cancelled a date though

I mean MBTI doesnt predict things with accuracy. INTPs are all kind of different in many ways. I would never intersect dating and MBTI for sake of piece of mind.
Also if someone doesnt come to a meeting I usually follow it up with a very simple question as to why. It doesnt matter what the meeting was for. Generally there is variablity with people on dating scene and it has more to do with state of mind, upbringing and stuff like maturity.

Flaky people can have many reasons to be flaky and majority of the time the reasons arent good. Then again you never know. Its not like we INTPs have crystal balls and know the next move some other supposed INTP will make.

That’s dumb. I’m sure you communicate differently through text or in person speech orally and all that. Check to see if he’s taking advantage of anything or something. Should be pretty simple and feel weird or scary.

if someone doesnt answer you within a three or four month period, its probably a dead relationship and i wont invest too much in it.
