I forgot how weird it is, how vain it feels, to start typing a piece all about yourself.
This kind of implied expectation that it is worth reading, because you are worth reading about, begins to set off all the warning bells that let you know there's a good chance you may be perceived as arrogant if you follow through.
Hello.
I feel like I should pause for a moment.

It's been a long time since I was active on a forum, but this one compels. I recently took the MBTI, administered by a professional with a Ph.D who is also a friend.
INTP, the results said. Extremely I, extremely N, extremely P.
Lots of T, about 23.
I still feel mildly out of place even among INTP's, though not near as much as around everyone else.
Two counts:
1. I have a great deal of compassion for the stupid people;
1.a. I want to have a great deal of compassion for the stupid people.
2. I am relatively confident, a lot of the time. Most of the time, even. I get this from a few avenues.
2.a. I did, in highschool, have a period of depression when I had trouble solving a certain type of puzzle, and realize I would not be the best at anything, most likely. "Just good enough to realize I'm not that good", was how I phrased it.
3. I exhibit a competitive nature almost reminiscent of an ENTP, and a generally higher-developed social integration than is common in most INTP's.
3.a. However, this appears to be me as an INTP deciding I should gain skill interacting with others, more than ENTP being my natural type...
4. I feel like INTP profiles get a lot right when I read them, but that they are missing 'something'. Just, something.
5. I see nothing about art in INTP profiles. Do so few INTP's fdraw the connection between pattern recognition/symbols/meaning-searching with art?
I think I have strived to have the auxillary E & F components of my personality developed more than others- I believe life is about balance..
After typing all of this, I find it interesting that I break the ice in a community by pointing out what marks me as unique.
I am constantly engaged in self-analysis, striving to have true character, and to understand how I want to live my life. Why I want to live my life. So I do believe INTP is the closest any mold I've ever read fits yet.
And I have already read some things I have not known any other person felt before. That's a cool experience.
So yeah.
I like writing, rock climbing, philosophy, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, music (I play many instruments, primarily stringed instruments), relationships [purposely ambiguous], foreign languages (Esperanto & Hebrew, recently), health, and history.
I also recently did my first ever standing backflip. I then did my second & third a few days later.
Thus accomplishing one of my life goals. Celebrate with me.

- is feeling like I am fairly exceptional among ordinary folk, generally a talented individual.
- is not relying on that for my sense of self-worth.
