A think another clarification would be in order. Muir wasn't banned for his views, he was banned for using the forum as dumping ground for the advancement of an agenda ie. being a crusader. Given how entrenched he is in his worldview and how justified he feels doing what he does it is very unlikely he would have abated in the future.

I don't think this comes as a particular surprise to many, although the occasion may be a little underwhelming. For further context you can look at the "Should I take acid" thread and our visitor messages.


During his tenure here he has accrued many infractions and several tempbans for his adversarial behavior and a fairly frequent habit of lashing out at people. His stubborn and wilful refusal to acknowledge moderator warnings, dismissiveness and smartass argumentativeness in response to being given warnings and chances have been duly and belatedly noted.

This isn't the place for Islamic propaganda, or that of any other religion for that matter. Religious discussions are totally fine, when it's about discussing views collaboratively, but its not for dropping verses randomly across the forum, and spreading an agenda of force/oppression and sexism.
