Just as the title implies, ask me a question, and I will answer. My answer will be honest and true to the best of my knowledge. However, don't presume my answers will be entirely serious if your question is not. This thread is a direct result of my boredom. If you don't care for this thread or think it's stupid, flame me on my profile page or start a new thread or send me death threats right to my email. I don't care, just don't fuck the ebb and flow of this thread, please.

Go. Ask away. Shoot.

Out of all the usernames you could have picked, why SpaceYeti?
My older username, CroBob, I had been using since before I got out of high school, and it was growing kind of boring to me. SpaceYeti is actually the name of one of my characters in WoW, a Dreanie. It's a play on their vague resemblance to yetis and that they come from, well, not space, but dimensional space, so it's kind of like yetis from space crasheded on Azeroth. The idea was funny to me, so I rolled with it. I liked the name so much, it's now what I use as my screen name instead of CroBob. It's not an exciting story, but it is an awesome name.

Do you wish you had a cupcake right now?
Yes.

The Imperial family reserves this board for announcements of great import to the general peasantry.

You may, however, set up a booth in the freelance consultants Soothsayer's Lane, and charge for your wisdom. The imperial tax-collecter will be along at the end of the month to collect a scant tenth of your takings. We expect any information incidentally given by your fellow countrymen of interest to our Empire, will be helpfully passed along, yes? There are many muffin, cup- and fairycake delights for those who please us. And red-hot pokers for those who don't :twisteddevil:

May the great Ragnar cast his divine shadow upon thee.

:king-twitter:

...errr... that was kind of like moving the moon out of orbit, as far as ebb and flow effects go.

Q: Why is is so hard to decide if this thread belongs in Fun, Lounge, or Hand-made and Blogging?
I couldn't say, since I don't think that it is. It's definitely not a blog, I'm not sure exactly how "hand-made" applies to any thread, and while it might be fun, there's certainly no guarantee it will be, thus making Fun probably wrong concerning at least some of the content. Through elimination, I've determined it's Lounge material, "Lounge" implying a place where people just sort of hang out and chillax, and being the only of the three to apply.

Also, sure, the Empire can have 10% of my nothing I'm earning. Fine.

After your thoughtful response, Imperial management concurs with the Lounge. Sadly, taxes are used to torture the innocent purchase cupcakes, and in the absence of taxable income we are most displeased unable to supply our agents. Expect Imperial rodents to chew through your entrails.

Q: If you ever had a kid, what would you call it and why?
I already have two children. I generally call my son by the obvious shortened version of his first name, but my daughter has no good shortening for her first name, so I say the whole thing when I do. When speaking to them directly, though, I usually actually say "Little Man" or "Little Girl", because I'm not a very formal person and prefer personalized nicknames. I might also sometimes call my girl "Mohawk" due to how her hair came in in a strip down the center, and I might call my son "Weirdo" or "Goof". My girl is too young to really understand what I'm saying either way, though.

This forum hosts a variety of types from staid serious rationalists to creepy bummed-out weirdos. Do you see it fit and worthwhile to identity such as so called, "INTP's" or "ENTP's" or "INFJ's", etc.?

Bonus question: What, if anything, do you think of the evil Pod'Lair Empire?

They are what they are. An MBTI type may give some insight into how they operate, but it probably won't change how I interact with them. It may be worthwhile for them to know it and thus know themselves better, but it's pretty irrelevant to me.

Bonus question: What, if anything, do you think of the evil Pod'Lair Empire?
I really don't know or care anything about it.

I was bitten by a turtle when I was younger, is it safe for me to drink orange juice?
Not if you're allergic to oranges or any other ingredient.

Whichever's biggest and most sturdy, to protect the little ones in case of an accident.

Now we know that song exists, but why can't the best minds in the world explain why ANYTHING exists?
Because it's a fundamentally flawed question. In order for there to be existence, it must come from a state allowing it, which itself must exist.

What is the natural state of man?
Nude.

What causes the uncanny valley effect?
Our understanding of a thing as a robot is safe, and our understanding of something as a huma is safe, but we get icky feelings when it's an awkward combination thereof.

What is the sound of one hand clapping?
The same sound as a square circle.

What is justice in a deterministic universe?
Predictable.

What is the final recourse of an existentialist?
A friend.

That'll keep you busy :D
Only if I take the time to indulge and, thus, overly complicate things.

Curiosity, I presume.

Who am I and what for?
You are you, for whatever you want.

what is your favorite kind of cupcake?
Hrm... that's a tuffy. The obvious answer is chocolate, but marble and confetti are equally good. I suppose just about anything, so long as there's no red dye and the frosting is butter based.

Enough of Si questions from me already.

What is more important, thought or knowledge?
What form of government is the best?
What do you think underage children think of adult sex?
Are you going to continue beating your dog and why?

I thought it wasn't you. You are too skinny.

Why is your ideal so much fatter than you? Damn. I was going to swear off Si questions.

Why am I asking Si (Internal Sensation) questions and which do you prefer and if you have no preference, why not when deep intellectual questions are so much deeper?

Neither. Knowledge doesn't exist without thought, and knowledge is useless without thought, but without knowledge there's nothing to think about. They're the flip sides of a coin.

What form of government is the best?
Whichever one you like the most or dislike the least, presuming it actually works.

What do you think underage children think of adult sex?
When I was young, it was a sexy mystery that I had to figure out, yet adults wouldn't actually answer my questions straight. The more I discovered, the more I wondered why the knowledge was hidden from me and why I had to find out what was what through pornography and the few girls who played sexy games with me. I suppose most kids think of sex depending how their parents react to their interest and curiosity. I presume children whose parents are honest don't think there's anything wrong with it and are then open about it back to their adults.

Are you going to continue beating your dog and why?

He's my favorite actor, not my "ideal". However, because he's funny.

Why am I asking Si (Internal Sensation) questions and which do you prefer and if you have no preference, why not when deep intellectual questions are so much deeper?
I don't know.

I have no preference.

I've been down the depth road, and I discovered there's really no such thing as depth. You either understand something, or you don't. If you do, there's not much to discuss except to further understand things or to teach. If you don't understand, you should listen more than you talk. "Deep" topics are really just topics people don't agree on or for which there is no "true" answer, like religion and politics. I don't mind intellectual topics, but I've grown weary of pompous jerks who are more interested in appearing smart than in actually figuring out how reality works, and those who don't care how reality works and would rather just argue that things they already believe are true.

How much do you cherish having a penis?
Very much. For starters, it's a part of my body, and I cherish it at least as much as any part of my body. Losing any part of my body would be traumatic. Further, it's also the defining sexual organ of my sex, and I can use it to bring myself extreme pleasure. I would sorely miss such an ability, possibly to the point I would no longer be considered sane.

Have you ever measured your erect penis? If so, what were the measurements?
Yes. It's 5.75 inches long, and has a ~3.5 to 4 inch circumference (circumference seems to vary and is generally difficult to get, since I've never had a measuring tool that was very flexible when I had the idea).

Would you take the last donut without asking if anyone else might want some?
Entirely circumstance relevant. How old are the donuts, how many people, and who, chipped in, how many did we start with, etc? Generally I would ask, unless they're from the previous day and everyone has had ample time to claim it.

What's in a name?
Letters.

What's your opinion on humanity?
We make some really good foods.

Are dogs smarter than cats? Why or why not.
Dogs are more obedient, but actual studies of problem solving skills seem to imply cats are smarter. I haven't looked into it in a long time and not thoroughly the first time.

What's your favorite ice cream?
Moose Tracks and Cookies and Cream are tied for my Anumber1 ice cream.

Have you ever had homosexual thoughts? If so, what was it?
I have considered thoughts of a homosexual nature, which usually lead to pondering whether or not I could stand actually taking part, and the conclusion is almost always "If it were an exact duplicate of me, I might do it out of curiosity. It depends on if I got disgusted when I tried.

What's your opinion of me?
I don't recall any significant conversation with you, and thus I have little to no opinion of you. That's likely a problem with my memory, though, not you.

have you ever been in a... in a Turkish prison?
No.

Are... Are you trying to see if you have a shot at going out with SpaceYeti ?

What say you SpaceYeti. Will you go out with Reluctantly ?
Almost assuredly not. As someone else mentioned, I'm married (happily), with two awesome children. Even if that weren't true, or if it changed, I have a very strict preference which you're statistically unlikely to meet.

What is your mother's phone #?
The numbers you'd dial in order to call her.

Well, the cuppycakes would surely give me some things I need to live, but, ultimately, I'd make the obvious choice. Unfortunately, I'd take the second choice.

What's your opinion of me?
I cannot recall if I've formed one.

What about if I was holding a dagger?
If I were aware that you were holding it, I might ask you where you got it, and I might ask to see it to determine if it's an actually usable dagger or the more popular collection/art piece sort.

Are you giving deliberately vague answers to everyone who asks for your opinion of them?
No. I frequently form opinions of people I see take part in discussions on this forum, but I don't generally connect what I thought of them to their name. Thus I basically forget what I think of the people here every other day or so, relative to how much I've interacted with them very recently. I'll surely remember seeing that name, I just won't know the person who's name it is. I effectively go into the forums with a neutral opinion on everyone each new day I arrive. I only remember opinions of people when they rubbed me entirely the wrong way, like Da Blob, Scorpionmover, and Snafupants.

Only very rarely do I remember someone by their screen name in a good way, and I'm not sure if that has been anyone on this forum.

I guess me not remembering you is a good sign, then.
