I stand on the shoulders of giants, lol. This is Milo and SpaceYeti's idea ... to propose being asked ANY question. Don't know if I can answer* ANY question. I'm fond of philosophy and psychology issues but so what?

I'm making this thread to celebrate entering my fourth and most certainly LAST quarter. So ask me any question you'd like and we'll see what happens ... before the quarter ends.

The purpose of this thread is so you may avail yourself of everything from the deep wisdom of my vast experience to the obvious stupidity of a senile ignert ol' fool.

Alright, so if you have 457,224,967 quarters, how many pesos do you have?

None because even if I were to convert them, them I wouldn't as I would lose count.

Does a set of all sets contain itself?
I like to keep those things separate to avoid confusion. The set of all sets is special and above it all.

What did you mean with LAST quarter? Is it a reference?

Also, why do you often link the profile to someone when you reply. Is it random, @ or no @, or do you operate after a system?

A lot. I can only give you an approximation: almost as many* as are chewing and swallowing. The rest are just gulping and spitting up.

I rarely visit Long Island and that's only on weekends. I'd suggest calling the chamber of commerce in local towns and asking for the nearest vocational counseling office. Take a vocational counseling test (try Google) to see which jobs you might favor.

Why is it that most people don't like the idea of buying a secondhand bed, but happily rub their faces in heavily used hotel beds because they feel so clean?
Wow! Have you been snooping and secretly videotaping?

... Sorry. I will try to refrain from asking a question before answering. Couldn't help it.

Same reason why people will happily go to the nearest auto rental over buying pre-owned cars. Because everyone's doing it while the 2ndhand bed doesn't give that feeling of "sleeping around."

What? No mention of territorialism evolutionarily, social emotional consequences of chain of ownership, media glamorization of hotels and inherent perceived value...BIP man, what's going on there mate? ;) At this rate, Im going to start my own thread here, megatron or no :elephant:

I thought this was a serious thread :p
Is that a question or a statement of fact intention? To INTP's everything is serious. I guess ENTP's have a broader view.

My answer was succinct. You are allowed to elaborate. No one said there is not more than one answer. You are welcome to start your own thread. If you do, please tie it to this one.

Thank you.

What did you mean with LAST quarter? Is it a reference?
Is was a probability statement. Not many can go five quarters. Yes it refers to the prior three quarters.

Also, why do you often link the profile to someone when you reply. Is it random, @ or no @, or do you operate after a system?
I often find it hard to locate the post if someone responds to me so I assume they may not see my response post to them either. If I put @crippli it shows up a reference count in your upper right hand corner. I got the idea from snafupants who is a magnificent role model for me. If you click on it you will get the profile but you need not do that. I'm assuming the "@" does nothing functional other than to say, "at." Am I doing it wrong? If I am you are free to blame snafupants.

What is the πth number in the Fibonacci Sequence?

How long do you think a trend of thread titles like "ask ___" can go on before they share the same fate as the "club" threads? (No offense, just curious. We should start collecting data...).

Holy macro. Define "better."

Milan is better if you live there. I've never been there. Have you? It's in the north and faster, isn't it?
Paris is better for my cousins. They live there.
Tokyo is great if you can read all those signs. I've been there.
London is good if you like running. I ran in Hyde park and almost got lost.
New York is nice to visit. I visit 50 weeks a year and then leave every week.

That is a random ranking except the best is last but I'm biased. Please do not blow it up.

The πth number is undefined to me. You will have to clarify. If you take are using a step function on π, that would be four, so you have 2 in the Fibonacci sequence. If you round off π, you have 1.

How long do you think a trend of thread titles like "ask ___" can go on before they share the same fate as the "club" threads? (No offense, just curious. We should start collecting data...).
I'm not familiar with the club threads so it's difficult to make that comparison. One should bear in mind that each of any "Ask" threads has a different sponsor representing a different person. So there are a few possibilities as to tenure.

It like eating your first piece of pie. The 2nd piece is good. By the 3rd you are filling up. The 4th you are pushing it. The 5th is okay if you are a bulemiac.

Best to wait a while and switch your taste in pies. Also the sponsor themselves may change their willingness or ability to answer.

I suppose the purpose of these threads varies with the sponsor. You may want to get to know the person or you may want to bounce your questions off of them. The sponsor may want to feel challenged or may want to save time by answering many or by just feeling open.

In my case, it's a fun way to feel challenged and to think about things. I'm sure there are more reasons ...

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck a thermonuclear device at Kyrgyzstan from orbit?
1. I would wonder why I wasn't asked a more down-to-Earth question.

2. I wood wait until the "if" condition was fulfilled and then videotape it for your answer.

As a little boy I sat in my rocking chair and counted to the millions. After a while I realized I could get further if I counted by tens instead of ones. I was right.

Do you like to wear hats?
No if they fall off. Yes if they're fun to put on.

Do you hate your head?
Not unless you give me a headache. Actually it's my favorite sensual apparatus above the belt-line.

Is there such a thing as an "Un-phobia"? That is, say you get a little scared going to the dentist's, but you feel no fear at all when you're at immediate risk of being shot or blown up, with no signs of fear afterwards either. What's that?

Would you date a superhero/superheroine (assuming they actually existed)?
I'm not sure how to deal with hypotheticals. If I assume such existed do I make up their nature or do I have to conform to some pre-conceived Se thing? It might be interesting to fantasize it out.

Which one?
I don't know too many. How about Wonderwoman? I would avoid batwoman though. Too icky. Wait a minute. You said, "date." If that means an appointment, I don't have to get sexual about it. Superman might be interesting.

I'd like to check him out. I'd ask him what he thinks of the laws of physics. Then I'd ask him if he'd like to date Architect who could do a further check if he's willing. There might be some practical applications too. Like I don't know how fast Superman can go* or if he's a good thinker. Maybe he would agree to go to Iran and North Korea and muscle up something.

That reminds me of what actors say. "I'm extremely anxious before I go on but when the time comes it all goes away and I'm immersed in the part."

I think the reason is because it's not fear, but anxiety. Anxiety is about the unknown and the future. Once you are in the fearsome situation, it's too late. All decisions are out of your hands. You have no fear of running away because you are committed. Once it's over it's too late.

If I could control it, I would say hold off the desire to make one until ongoing ones wind down. Get to know the thread author. On the other hand there is plenty of room for everyone on this Forum so maybe it's an interesting fashion. Does such a thread get exhausting? Well it's up to the reader and writer. If I get bored over repetition, I will answer to that effect. If you get bored from reading, you will stop reading.

Are you still enjoying this thread?
Am I enjoying it? Yes it's fun to try to answer appropriately. What is appropriate? Not always easy. I don't think people are asking me questions on philosophy or experience they could ask, but if those answers come out on other threads, what the heck ... it's okay.
