Hacked a wi-fi network to get internet ()
*snigger*myspace...only needed basic html knowledge
I'm a hacker parasite (Pirate Bay dl'er), but it's OK because I always remember to seed the good shit.
Open access, or did you break in?
cracked the password, how else can that be considered a hack?

WEP?
It was WEP yes, but I can do WPA too. In fact, I have a 35gb dictionary.
I use the word "hack" to mean modifying something to act in a (usually useful or interesting) way in which it was not originally intended.
Running a program to capture wireless handshakes and another to brute force the password is using those programs exactly as they were intended (well, one might argue the were meant for use on ones own network), and thus, not hacking. Cracking maybe, but I like to think of cracking as more manual.
My latest hack was probably a script I wrote to launch applications in Windows with redefined system variables that aren't supposed to be changed outside of individual command prompts.
Oh, and just fucking around with HIEW's x64 disassembler, changing instructions in some applications. And playing around with the latest Ollydbg updates and...![]()
I haven't seen anything posted here that's really incriminating. Many torrents are perfectly legal, even on TPB. Network penetration, brute force password recovery, stress testing (DDOS), and most other forms of "hacking"/"cracking" perfectly legal in the right context. I haven't seen anything posted here that directly implies that anything was done in an illegal context. Please stop incriminating yourselves on an open, public forum. Jesus.
