there is no good test.

MBTI is a role-playing game. you get to choose your class.

Research cognitive functions.

Typing yourself can be a long, arduous process. If you really want a definitive answer, seek professional help.

Well, you could just do the random method: Assign each MBTI a number, then roll d20 and look it up on the chart. (For 17-20, either pick any type or accept that you have no type.)

Re: INFPs: type yourself correctly or go home.

What makes you think you're an INTx, Archael?

well actually this whole personality thing is new to me. until recently i didnt know what introverts and extroverts are, but when i found out i wanted to learn anything and everything about them. once i found out what they were i realized i was an introvert. Then i found out about the 16 types and read through all of the descriptions. through the process of elimination of comparing the descriptions to myself ive narrowed it down to 2; INTP and INTJ. at this current moment i am unclear as to which i fall under because i share the most commonalities with these two types out of the 16, but due to lack of self understanding and quite possibly (most likely) lack of education (highschool dropout due to a fucked up school staff and sheer boredom) and life experience, i am unable to tell if i seek knowledge to put to practical use or if knowledge is simply the end goal. either way i know all i want is more knowledge, but until i get it i wont know what it is i'll want it for.

oh and also money. everybody wants more money. cause well, lets face it, you cant do shit without it.

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Good to have you around - I hope you can gain some clarity on the subject.

Hi Archael.

As you're new, you might not be familiar with forum etiquette, but introductions don't have a place in the middle of threads dealing with other subjects, so I've moved yours and subsequent posts into a new thread.

couldnt fully remember the INFP type so i looked it up and......
looooooooool
im sorry but that made me laugh really hard.

yes im very sure that i am not an INFP i honestly couldnt give two shits about anyone other than myself. literally anyone, even my family and friends. for as long as i can remember ive known that eventually people die, so why get all worked up over it when they finally do die. its inevitable, i dont see why i should waste my time feeling bad about something when its bound to happen. the only reason i would want to make the world a better place is because i live on it. and if someone tries to fuck up this planet then im gunna be there to fuck their shit up. nobody gets to destroy my home. nobody.

Most profiles are idealized person-flattering stereotypes. I wouldn't put too much stock in them. A better way to delineate is to look at intentions, motivations and which aspects of things one is primarily concerned about (as opposed to which things). This can be a messy process, but regardless of its success when it comes to landing a type, it will cause introspection and increased grasp of self.

what makes you so sure? just wonderin :P

Somewhat of reckless guesss. You seem somewhat laid back, but that in itself is never enough to type somoene. So it's just a hypothesis at this moment, though it would be interesting to see the conclusion.

Try ISTP. they are more common, and they are close cousins to INTP.
However after reading your few posts i can say you are probably intp

also, 90% of people typeing INTX (intp or intj) are intp. I am intp, but I have some characteristics from intj (I think) and now I am reading books to find it out
