The picture in the OP is not real?

It's not intended to be referential even though it is explicitly stated?

It's a random image that means nothing even though it's explicitly stated that it's referential to the context of this thread?
The picture is indeed there.

The picture has no added words, you can interpret it for yourself, which it seems you have done, and it seems you are claiming that by the picture being there, that reasons some "absolute." The text below the image says that it is indeed referential to my point and to the thread, but your claiming that I "absolutely" did something other than what is denotationally stated, is incorrect.

Yes you pointing out your own vanity completely excuses it.

Perhaps you actually didn't see anything worth adressing written by me, that doesn't really help your case either though. You did actually adress one of my posts though.

When I wrote:

It does take some measure of magical thinking to simply leap from syntactic knowledge to semantic.

You answered with:

No cherry, it doesn't. at all.

Mysticism and irrationalism are "magical thinking."

There is a difference in using inferential leaps and rationality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rationality) and the above.

Okay so at some time syntactic knowledge simply becomes semantic, not magical at all, point taken. Then when I later wrote:

Oh and TA I find it intellectually dishonest to dismiss panpsychism on the basis of its connection to mysticism, seeing as MBTI originated from mysticism as well and Jung -whose works you've been happy to peruse and divulge- was a mysticist. He was likely also being some kind of panpsychist going by these quotes:

"psyche and matter are contained in one and the same world, and moreover are in continuous contact with one another"

as well as that it was probable that

"psyche and matter are two different aspects of one and the same thing"

^taken from wiki article on panpsychism.

You didn't answer at all.

Such rationality, such only care about truth, such TA. But hey go ahead and do some rational things like WRITING IN CAPS FOR THE SAKE OF BEING ABLE TO SAY LATER ON THAT YOU WERE BEING IRONIC SHOULD THE NEED ARISE.

Now I'm gonna copy some classic TA tactics:

This thread is pointless and there is nothing worth adressing at all, it is obvious that TA needs to consider http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rationality and before he has done that I can do no more /cherry cola out

Did I? DID I????

Or is this another straw-man/misquote?

Can you prove that I said you absolutely did something which you aboslutely did not do?

Not likely. It's your ego, getting in the way. Ego doesn't equal validity right?

***Note: I have zealously been quoting @JennyWocky when it comes to concerns over my character/ethics, I am not attempting nor hope to imply that she has any opinion(s) on the matter other than what she says, I simply enjoy her posts about me. lol.
You should receive the bill for my PR work on your behalf sometime this week. It will be hand-delivered by two guys on break from Australia's Wallabies rugby team, and they have been given precise instructions on what is to happen if no money is forthcoming.

(They are also wearing earplugs so that your silver tongue will have only negigible impact.)

Cheers, mate!

So here is the post in question:

Where I make the claim that you "absolutely make a reference to a fictional character in an effort to illustrate your personality in more meaningful terms"

Which you claim is wrong because I fail to prove that it absolutely happened.

To which I replied that there is no such thing as absolute or objective proof because we all inhabit a separate frame-of-reference. It is equally valid in my reference frame to subjectively state something is explicit or objective even if you can manufacture a separate reference frame which claims it is not so. In other words, your requests for proof are downright absurd and should not be entertained in the course of this discussion.

You're engaging in a downward spiral of subjectivism and phenomenology, and only for this argument.

You've turned your argument from an "absolute" claim, to "there's no such thing as objective proof!"

lol.

I will not engage in debating this^

However, you seem to prefer to focus on this tangent of what constitutes absolute proof, even though I maintain that there is no such thing,

But you take this as some admission of defeat. ... which is honestly just a testament to the utter absurdity that is dispersed throughout your reasoning.

This time could have been productively spent on unraveling the mystery of TA and why he's such a moron instead of volleying back and forth about what it means to claim absolutes.

Absurdity please ban the motherfucker for the sake of intellectual justice.

Even in his own thread about himself he doesn't adress any point being made, chosing instead to cut his opponents posts into chunks so that he can take those on one by one while ignoring the actual point that was made.

Well my original argument was actually more like:

"you wouldn't know the truth if it fucked you in the ear"
Let me grant you your argument powers that will allow it to transcend any attempt made at adressing it:

"you wouldn't know the truth if it fucked you in the ear"

TA via VM said:
I'm being sincere here, I'm not even slightly fucking trolling (nor was I even trolling ITT)
I really don't care about your intentions. You're behaving exactly like a troll. Stop derailing and stop provoking idiotic debates about nothing.
