Anyway, I am GodOfOrder. I am a law student. I like ranting about history, the market, moral sentimentalism, shitting on Kant, politics, and taking long walks on the beach.

Most probably do not remember me. My last post was years ago, but I still lurk from time to time. I imagine that much has changed during my absence, and that is why I am making a new introduction thread. I want to know what has happened since ennui lead me away from the Forum.

In my absence I lost an outlet for long winded rants about misc. stuff. My friends and relatives on Facebook don't seem to enjoy it so much either. So I figured I might as well come back here.

Who is still here?

  • Proxy?
  • Duxwing?
  • Cog
  • Jennywocky?
  • Anyone who I might remember?
(don't feel bad if I didn't mention you (or creeped out if I did))

Who died/was banned?

What scandals have come to pass?

Who are you, if we haven't met?

Hi.

I'm Sinny, welcome back.

I'm relatively new, so I don't have the answers to your questions.

But a number of forum members have been feeling nostalgic lately, so I expect them to come out and demonstrate some of that nostalgia..

You sound cool, I look forward to hearing your rants.

I love rants.

I am Sinny.

Hello. I go by Rixus here. Eagerly awaiting such rants.

If several thousand posts is new, I'm just that stranger who walked in, put my feet up on the sofa and made myself at home.

Hello to both of you! It is nice to meet you.

You seem to be quite prolific @Sinny91

Yes. There were a lot of those (that seems to be a favorite topic on INTPf). Depending on which one you speak of, my opinions have probably changed. I grew steadily toward atheism as time progressed, and if I remember correctly that likely reflected itself in my comments. My earlier, more deistic, comments contrast with my later atheistic ones.

and taking long walks on the beach.

I don't understand why some people like taking long walks on the beach, it is the WORST place to take long walks.

-The landscape never changes.

-The (sand) ground is difficult to walk on.

-Risk of getting shoes wet.

-Obnoxiously windy.

-Broken bottles and dead things on ground.

-Impractically far from the from the vast majority of worldwide locations. (roughly 60% of world is over 100km away from coast*).

Counter arguments?

True. Long walks in the mountains and forests are preferred.

Ha!

In truth I hate the beach. But for the sake of argument, you may find a stranger's watch or wallet. Possibly a neat shell. And public drunkenness (or in some places, nudity) is entirely acceptable.

The above makes said walks "fun"

I have been well. Took a gap year between schooling. Now I am back at it.

You truly are immortal, aren't you?
