.... AHHHHH!!!

I just wrote a ten+ paragraph article on personality for the psychology area and when I went to post it it made me sign back in. I thought that was weird and proceeded, only to have it tell me that it could not post because I had to sign in and to go back. I did so and then my entire paper was erased.

*sigh* Sorry, just venting. It was really good too! Urg.

I hate when that happens. The best thing I can suggest is a tool like Lazarus Form Recovery (Available for both Firefox and Chrome, I believe) so that it doesn't happen in the future.

^ for future reference, which you probably do not want to hear right now, do periodic right click copies or write the material in a microsoft word document and paste it in; even save on an external source (e.g., hard drive). this is coming from someone who has lost hours of work and succumbed to internal hard drive crashes.

Yes, as a writer who's works are frequently destroyed by human hand and computer error, I feel your pain.

Well, I pretend to at the very least.

Do you still have the browser window open (doubtful since this post is a half hour after the OP)? If by some chance you do, you can always keep hitting the back button and it will keep whatever text you had saved. If not, it can't help for future reference I suppose.

This. I hate it when it doesn't work though.

Yeah, Ska is right. I can usually get back what I lose when I go back in the browser. If it erases it though... *insert sad smiley*

You are not alone.

Sorry, my Si is at work. Your last sentence is what made me think of it.

But yeah... make sure to save often and to save to a usb drive along the way. It sucks losing your work to login screens.

Hope things go better for you.
