So, it's a Happy Monday and I say:

Well, I bought myself some nifty new caramel-roiboos tea today and thanks to that my whole apartment is now smelling like caramel now: :3

After all, I am Alisa, and you seem quite mad and would look lovely in a hat, and a cup of nice warm caramel-roiboos tea would probably make this Monday double double double good. I am sure that the rest of the creatures of Wonderland will mind, but join in shortly anyway.

My metabolic pathways are operating at full capacity and I have completed no less than 10323904810 rounds of cellular respiration today. My RNA is being transcribed nearly flawlessly and my proteins translated with extraordinary precision. As we speak, my white blood cells fight valiantly and endlessly against the mindless bacterial hordes. My testes furiously replicate my eggs so that I may pass on my bacteria pwnage skilz to future generations (and with very few mutations!). My nerve synapses are firing at incredible speeds. Just today I was able to observe a puddle no less than 50 feet away and make the decision to circumvent said death trap. I have yet to be smitten by any God(s), however spiteful, and my finger nails, like my conscious, are clean.
Today. Sucks. |

Easy for you to say as I haven't had coffee today. Not likely to either as I don't drink coffee.

Pulled an all-nighter to finish an essay, got less than 30mins of sleep. Not good.

I got up at 5 am. Went to work. Didn't kill anybody on the way. Got a bunch of other stuff done. Made a few people laugh. Cursed a lot. Had a sandwich.
Utterly mundane really. *pines after Anthile's tea*

Woke up late with a motherfucking neck cramp and ache.
Studied some material regarding democracy and human rights, offered some social commentary on the current state of affairs in my country, instigated a political argument between my parents. Still bored.

OK people, this is hardly good, not to mention good good, or even double good.
*Walks trough the thread and hands out some ecstasy following the fine tradition of Happy Mondays* There, that's a bit better.

I just remembered something that happened to me yesterday:
Several people at work called a guy gay and I spent a couple of minutes debating with them as to why I thought he wasn't gay. It was an hour later that I finally realized they were making fun of the guy not seriously considering his sexual orientation. *sigh* I walk right into these things.

Hmmm...Well, considering we work in a very gay-friendly community and the business I work for is particularly gay-friendly I would hope that this individual would feel comfortable enough to tell us truthfully. However, everybody has their reasons for keeping such things to themselves not least of which is to maintain a sense of privacy.
I was caught off guard I think. I thought they were honestly discussing his sexuality in the same way that people discuss their preference in authors or the weather. This isn't uncommon at the place I work since the team I work with tends to be casual and non-confrontational. I hope things aren't changing for the worse. Now, where did Alisa get off to? I need another hit.

Well, I realize Norwegians are a tad uptight, but no, we are not required by law to change the tires every night it snows. They are pleased if you do it twice a year- preferrably in the spring and autumn. Metaphorically, that applies to Melkor as well.

I used to wait until the snow stuck and I was having to use my car as a sled before I changed my tires. It's that whole procrastination thing. For a while I used chains but there are few things in this world that suck more kneeling in the snow and having your arms wrapped around cold wet tires in a snowstorm with the stuff going down the back of your jacket and cars zooming by splashing you with slush. I felt murderous enough after every episode that I finally just forked over the money and got studded tires.
