Theme Day Entries

Alright the results for theme day are up; a tie between demonology and 'reality is an illusion.' As the coordinator I decided to remove my vote to break to the tie, which leave us with 'reality is an illusion' as our theme.

It is officially the 'Reality is an Illusion' theme day ladies and gentlemen, so post your entries!

I wonder if this thread is visible enough, though. It's already the 13th and we only have like 9 avatars. (I realize there are some differences in timezones). Then again, it's only been 1 hour and 9 minutes since day 13 started.

I fear the theme may have been a little esoteric to garner too much attention. Something more humorous or straightforward would have probably worked better.

Nevertheless I still think there are some pretty sweet avatars.

Perhaps it would be better if users were only allowed one choice on the poll next time around.
It's quite possible that nearly everybody had a slight interest in surrealism and just happened to pick it as a second or third choice while not technically hoping for it.

Just a thought.

(This post doesn't count as me entering in the contest, by the way.)

Alas, I always thought that a lot of my art could be categorized as surreal, but apparently after viewing the other submissions It is merely just plain weird...:(
Anyway I pulled my first submission of the statue in Rome(?) because it didn't seem real enough to be surreal. Instead I submit an old thing from Katmandu... Yes

I even provided a sound track

This theme is that vaguest thing of all. Any depiction of reality is an illusion thus not only is it not an illusion (internet too) but we are nothing more than our perceptions, hence, illusions, on the world.

Its your right to feel ashamed, but I happen to really like your choice. Its like a metaphor for the entire subject. It makes me think of the evils of social marketing and the breath-taking beauty of the natural world.
