I mean, partly i get this "imagination runs riot", but it only goes so far as to give me goosebumps from time to time. That is when i am outside in the night (especially a moonless night). But i don't imagine monsters but rather critters, bugs (since i dislike them anyways already).
But yea, being in the dark feels much more comfortable. I like it best in a night with stars and moon out (no clouds). Being in the city the night gives me another layer of 'protection', of 'cover' (adding to my beloved black kashmere-woollen coat
Another nice thing is to be awake for most of the night and then i the mornings starting to see the light coming back. But as soon as the sun is fully on the sky, it's annoying and i go inside...
